Hi there, dark souls! I'm A Em, and I write the kind of forbidden romance that would make your high school English teacher clutch their pearls in horror. (Which, let's be honest, makes it all the more delicious.)

I never expected to end up writing dark academia romance with a hefty dose of psychological obsession. Growing up in a small town where everyone knew your business, I spent most of my time hiding in the library, devouring Gothic classics and imagining stories about the things proper society doesn't talk about. You know the ones – those dangerous attractions and forbidden desires that keep you awake at night, torn between wanting to turn the page and being afraid of what you'll find.

My debut novel "Lessons Learned" emerged from my slightly concerning fascination with dark academia settings and the beautiful tragedy of forbidden love. (What can I say? There's something irresistible about ivy-covered walls hiding deliciously dark secrets.) I love exploring those razor-sharp edges where obsession bleeds into love, where right and wrong get tangled up in shades of grey, and where the line between predator and prey becomes deliciously blurred.

Fair warning: my books aren't for the faint of heart. If you're looking for sweet, wholesome romance... *gestures vaguely toward the exit* You might want to try a different author. I write about the kind of love that burns and scars, the kind that society condemns but that we can't help being drawn to. My characters are deeply flawed, often morally grey (okay, sometimes straight-up dark), and definitely won't be winning any "Role Model of the Year" awards.

When I'm not writing about dangerous obsessions and forbidden desires, you can usually find me wandering through old bookstores, collecting vintage editions of Gothic novels, or drinking way too much coffee while plotting new ways to traumatize my characters. (Don't worry – they usually get their happy endings... eventually. Usually. Sometimes.)

I believe the best stories are the ones that make us uncomfortable, that force us to confront the darker aspects of desire and human nature. That's where the real magic happens – in those shadowy spaces between right and wrong, in the quiet moments when we admit to ourselves what we really want.

To my readers: thank you for being brave enough to venture into these dark waters with me. Your messages about staying up until 3 AM to finish "Lessons Learned," or how you couldn't look at your professor the same way afterward (I'm not sorry!), make all those late-night writing sessions worth it.

What can you expect from my books? Age-gap romance that will make you question your moral compass. Gothic settings dripping with atmosphere and tension. Dangerous heroes who probably need therapy but are too busy stalking the heroine to schedule an appointment. Heroines who are drawn to the darkness despite their better judgment. And enough sexual tension to power a small city.
