Hey there, dark romance lovers! I'm Adora Crooks, and I write the kind of steamy, dangerous romances that'll have you questioning your life choices at 3 AM. (Don't worry, I'm right there with you, clutching my coffee and wondering why I love putting my characters through hell.)

Let me tell you, I never expected to end up here, writing about morally gray heroes and the women who bring them to their knees. I was that quiet bookworm in the back of class, dreaming up stories between algebra equations. But there was always something about the darker side of romance that called to me. You know those moments in books where you're supposed to hate the "bad guy" but find yourself rooting for them instead? Yeah, that was totally me.

My debut novel "Double Crossed" came from one of those late-night what-if moments. What if a woman on the run found herself trapped between two dangerous men who became her only chance at survival? What if those men turned out to be exactly what she needed? (And yes, I may have been slightly influenced by my unhealthy obsession with brooding ex-military heroes. Sue me.)

I love writing characters who live in those gray spaces – the ones society says we shouldn't want but can't help craving. My heroes aren't your typical romance novel leads. They're complicated, sometimes ruthless, and definitely dangerous. But when they fall? They fall hard. And my heroines? They're survivors. Fighter. Women who can handle themselves in a world of chaos and come out stronger.

When I'm not torturing my characters (lovingly, I swear), you can find me binge-watching true crime documentaries, spoiling my rescue cat Princess Stabby (yes, that's really her name – there's a story there), or adding to my embarrassingly large collection of coffee mugs. I'm pretty sure my local barista thinks I'm plotting actual crimes with how intensely I stare at my laptop while writing.

My writing style? Think dark chocolate with a razor blade inside. Sweet enough to tempt you, dangerous enough to make you bleed. I don't shy away from the gritty stuff, but I always promise my readers that love wins in the end. It might be a twisted, scarred kind of love, but isn't that the most interesting kind?
