Hi there! I'm Alexandria Infante, and I write the kind of dark romance that keeps you up at night—both from not being able to put the book down and from wondering if that bump you just heard was your sexy, morally gray neighbor. (Don't worry, I do the same thing.)

Born and raised in New York City, I grew up surrounded by stories—not just in books, but in the whispered conversations at bodegas, the echoes in apartment hallways, and the secrets hidden behind every pre-war building's facade. The city isn't just my home; it's practically a character in everything I write. Those of you who've read "Apartment" know exactly what I mean. There's something deliciously dangerous about finding love in a city that never sleeps, especially when that love comes with more than a few red flags.

I started writing as a way to escape the mundane reality of my 9-to-5 (okay, more like 8-to-7) corporate job. My characters were my rebellion against spreadsheets and meetings that could've been emails. But what started as late-night writing sessions fueled by too much coffee and my overactive imagination turned into something bigger than I ever expected.

My debut novel "Apartment" came from a real NYC Housing Lotto advertisement I saw on the subway. While waiting for my delayed train (classic NYC), I couldn't help thinking: "What if winning your dream home came with strings attached? Dark, dangerous, incredibly sexy strings?" And just like that, Rui Castillo's story was born.

When it comes to my writing style, I believe in pushing boundaries while keeping things grounded in reality. My characters aren't billionaires with private islands (though never say never!)—they're real people making questionable decisions in complicated situations. The kind of decisions that make you want to scream "NO!" at your Kindle while simultaneously fanning yourself because... well, you know why.

I write stories where: - Consent is sexy (and mandatory) - The villains don't need redemption to be lovable - Happy endings are earned, not given - Cultural identity matters - The city itself might try to kill you (I'm only half-joking)

When I'm not writing, you can find me wandering through Manhattan's streets at midnight (probably not the safest hobby for someone who writes dark romance, but inspiration strikes when it strikes), trying every hole-in-the-wall restaurant I can find, or curled up with my rescue cat, Poe (yes, named after THAT Poe—I told you I like dark things).
