Let me tell you, I never expected to end up writing about sexy mobsters and dangerous love stories. I started out as a total bookworm who spent more time in libraries than anywhere else. My mom used to joke that I'd read the back of a cereal box if there was nothing else around (she wasn't wrong). But there was always something missing in the romance novels I devoured – that perfect blend of heart-pounding suspense and scorching chemistry that made my pulse race.

So I decided to write the books I wanted to read. You know, the ones where the danger feels real, the stakes are high, and the romance burns so hot it might set your Kindle on fire. Fair warning: my characters don't always play nice. They're complex, sometimes morally gray, and definitely not perfect. But that's what makes them real, right?

When I wrote "Killer on Fire," I poured everything I had into creating a world where love and danger dance on a knife's edge. It became a Wall Street Journal bestseller (which still makes me pinch myself), but more importantly, it connected with readers who get it.
