I write the kind of stories that would make my Catholic school teachers clutch their pearls and probably try to save my soul. But hey, some of the best stories live in those shadowy places between right and wrong, don't they?

Growing up in Boston's North End, I was that kid who always had her nose buried in a book, usually something wildly inappropriate for my age. My Italian grandmother would catch me reading her hidden romance novels and just shake her head, muttering "Santa Maria!" (Though I later found out she had quite the spicy book collection herself - guess it runs in the family!)

I spent ten years working as a private wealth manager for Boston's elite, and let me tell you - the things I saw behind those mahogany doors and perfectly manicured hedges? That's where the real stories are. The secrets, the scandals, the forbidden connections that everyone pretends don't exist... yeah, that's the stuff that fills my notebooks now.

My debut novel "Forbidden Love" might be my first published book, but it's actually the fourth manuscript I've written. The others are locked away in a drawer somewhere, probably plotting their revenge. This story, though - Isabella Rothschild's story - wouldn't leave me alone. She showed up in my dreams, demanding that her tale be told. Who am I to argue with a stubborn heiress?

When I write, I dive deep into the messy parts of human nature. The parts we're not supposed to talk about at dinner parties. Power dynamics, wealth, forbidden desires, family obligations - and what happens when all of those things collide in the worst (best?) possible ways. My characters aren't always likeable, but they're real. They're flawed. They make terrible decisions for what feel like perfectly good reasons at the time.

(Fair warning: If you're looking for a neat, tidy happily-ever-after where everyone learns valuable lessons and becomes better people... um, maybe check out the self-help section instead?)

These days, I split my time between writing and trying to convince my rescue cat, Dante, that my keyboard is not his personal heated bed. I drink way too much espresso (blame the Italian genes), collect vintage fountain pens (I'm a bit of a nerd about them), and do my best writing at 3 AM when normal people are sleeping.

To my readers: I promise to never give you a watered-down version of love or desire. My stories will always push boundaries, ask uncomfortable questions, and explore the dark corners of privilege and power. They're not always easy reads, but I believe the best stories never are.
