Hey there, dark souls! I'm Ande Pliego, and I write the kind of twisted romance that would make your grandmother clutch her pearls and your best friend raise an eyebrow (before secretly borrowing the book, of course).

Let me tell you, I never expected my debut "You Are Fatally Invited" to blow up the way it did. But apparently, there are a lot of you out there who share my fascination with the deliciously dangerous intersection of love and murder. (Who knew, right? Well, actually, I did – and that's probably concerning.)

My journey into writing started in the most cliché way possible: as a kid hiding under the covers with a flashlight, devouring every gothic romance and psychological thriller I could get my hands on. While other teens were writing about first kisses and summer crushes in their diaries, I was plotting elaborate murder mysteries with romantic twists that would've had my school counselor seriously worried.

Here's the thing about my writing style – I love playing with expectations. You think you know where the story's going? Think again. That sweet, charming character you're rooting for? Maybe they're the one you should fear most. (My beta readers have learned to trust no one, and honestly, that's probably wise.)

"You Are Fatally Invited" is my love letter to every reader who's ever thought, "But what if the villain is actually right?" It's a story that walks the razor's edge between romance and revenge, love and obsession. And those special foiled designs beneath the jacket? They're like little deadly Easter eggs I've hidden just for you. Because if we're going to dance with darkness, we might as well make it beautiful.

When I'm not writing scenes that make my editor send me concerned texts at 3 AM, I'm probably: - Wandering through old cemeteries for "research" (totally normal hobby, right?) - Collecting vintage poison bottles (purely decorative, I promise) - Baking suspiciously perfect-looking cookies (my friends have learned to politely decline) - Or convincing my cat she's not actually plotting my demise (the jury's still out on this one)

My writing philosophy is simple: there's beauty in the darkness, romance in the twisted, and sometimes the scariest stories are the ones that feel most true. I believe in pushing boundaries while respecting triggers (because consent is sexy, even in fiction), and creating characters who are unapologetically complex.

What can you expect from my books? Dark romance that's psychologically twisted rather than gratuitously violent. Characters who'll make you question your own moral compass. Plots that'll keep you guessing until the very last page. And endings that'll haunt you long after you've closed the book.

To my readers: thank you for being just as wonderfully weird as I am. Your messages about staying up all night to finish "You Are Fatally Invited" (and then being too scared to sleep) make my black little heart so happy. Currently, I'm working on my next novel (which may or may not involve a cursed library, a mysterious inheritance, and at least one questionably motivated love interest). My editor has already started stocking up on antacids, so you know it's going to be good.
