Hey there! I'm Ava Ryan, and I write steamy contemporary romance that'll make you blush, swoon, and probably fan yourself a little (or a lot). Fair warning: my books aren't for the faint of heart, but then again, neither am I.

Would you believe I used to be a corporate lawyer? Yeah, I spent years buried in contracts and case files, daydreaming about writing the kinds of stories that kept me up way too late reading under my covers as a teenager. (My mom still thinks those were textbooks. Sorry, Mom!) After one particularly brutal week of back-to-back meetings and midnight oil-burning, I finally snapped. I opened my laptop and started writing what would eventually become "His Secret Love" – though trust me, that first draft was ROUGH.

Speaking of "His Secret Love," I still can't believe how many of you have fallen for Ethan and Sophie's story. A grumpy single dad who swears he's done with relationships meets his match in the one woman he can't have? Sign me up! (Okay, I might be biased since I wrote it, but still.) When I was writing their story, I knew I wanted to tackle the whole "nanny romance" trope but make it messier, more real. Because let's face it – life isn't clean and tidy, and neither is love.

My writing style? Think wine-night confessions with your best friend, but spicier. I write about real people with real baggage making real mistakes. My characters aren't perfect – they're stubborn, they're scared, and sometimes they're absolute idiots about love. But that's what makes them human, right? And don't even get me started on the steam level. Let's just say my grandmother can never, ever read my books. (Love you, Nana!)

I'm a firm believer that the best romance novels are the ones that make you feel everything. Sure, the sexy scenes are fun (and boy, do I have fun writing those), but it's the emotional gut-punches that keep us coming back for more. That's why I dig deep into my characters' fears, their wounds, their hopes. When they hurt, I want you to hurt. When they fall in love, I want you to fall right along with them.

When I'm not writing about hot single dads and the women who turn their lives upside down, you can find me binge-watching true crime documentaries (for research, obviously), attempting to keep my houseplants alive (current success rate: 42%), or walking my rescue dog, Romeo. Yes, he came with that name, and yes, it's absolutely perfect for a romance author's dog.

To my readers: thank you for taking a chance on a new author. Your messages about staying up until 3 AM to finish "His Secret Love" make my day every single time. (Though maybe try to get some sleep? Actually, never mind – I do the exact same thing.) I'm currently working on my next book, and let's just say... if you thought Ethan was swoon-worthy, just wait until you meet my new hero.

Heart-pounding romance, complex characters who'll drive you crazy (in the best way), steamy scenes that'll fog up your e-reader, and always, ALWAYS a happily ever after.
