Hey there! I'm Belle Walker, and I write dark romance that'll make you question your moral compass (don't worry, mine's already thoroughly corrupted).

I never expected to become an author, honestly. Growing up in a tiny Midwest town where everyone knew everyone's business, I spent most of my time hiding in the library, devouring every book I could get my hands on. Fantasy, romance, horror – I read it all. But it was always the darker stories that called to me, the ones that made my heart race and kept me up at night wondering "what if?"

Fast forward through a practical business degree (sorry, Mom), a soul-crushing corporate job, and approximately 3,247 cups of coffee, I finally listened to that little voice in my head that wouldn't shut up about writing. You know the one – it whispers story ideas at 3 AM when you're trying to sleep? Yeah, that jerk.

My debut novel "Blood and War" poured out of me during the pandemic lockdown (because apparently, when the world feels apocalyptic, that's when my creativity decides to show up). It's a story about Demitria Collins, a woman who's spent a decade fighting supernatural nightmares to protect her last remaining family member. And yes, there might be a forbidden romance that'll make you feel things you probably shouldn't. What can I say? I love exploring those grey areas where good and evil aren't so clearly defined.

When it comes to my writing style, I don't believe in pulling punches. My characters are messy, complicated, and sometimes morally questionable – just like real people. I write about the darkness that lives inside all of us, but I promise there's always light at the end of the tunnel (even if we have to fight through hell to get there).

When I'm not writing, you can find me: - Binge-watching true crime documentaries (for research, obviously) - Walking my rescue dog, Luna, who's convinced she's actually a wolf - Attempting to keep my houseplants alive (current success rate: 43%) - Drinking way too much coffee while plotting new ways to torture my characters

I believe the best stories are the ones that make us uncomfortable, that force us to look at parts of ourselves we usually ignore. My books aren't for everyone, and that's okay. But if you like your romance with a side of darkness, if you're drawn to the monsters as much as the heroes, if you believe love can bloom in the most unlikely places – then welcome to my world.

Fair warning: I'm building quite the collection of broken characters and forbidden love stories in my head, so this is just the beginning. "Blood and War" might be my debut, but I've got so many more stories fighting to get out. (My characters are very pushy that way.)
