Hey there, dark romance lovers! I'm Bianca Cole, and I write the kind of stories that make your mom raise her eyebrows and your best friend text you at 2 AM saying "OMG, WHAT DID I JUST READ?!"

I'll be honest – I never expected to become a dark romance author. For years, I worked in corporate marketing (yawn, I know), dreaming up twisted stories during mind-numbing meetings and scribbling plot ideas in the margins of my meeting notes. My coworkers probably thought I was taking diligent notes, but really, I was plotting kidnappings and mapping out psychological warfare between lovers. (Sorry not sorry, former boss!)

My journey into writing started the way most forbidden things do – late at night, when I should've been sleeping. Instead, I was devouring dark romance books, staying up until sunrise, completely wrapped up in worlds where the lines between right and wrong blur into delicious shades of grey. I found myself thinking, "But what if the villain was even MORE unhinged? What if we pushed these boundaries just a little further?"

That's how my debut novel "Unhinged" was born. Let me tell you, writing about a vacation-gone-wrong in Mexico while sitting in my comfortable apartment in Boston was quite the experience. My neighbors probably wondered why I kept my blinds closed for weeks (hey, I needed to get into that kidnapped mindset, okay?). The story poured out of me like a fever dream – a college senior's last hurrah turning into a psychological nightmare that would change her life forever.

I write the kind of romance that makes you question your own moral compass. You know that feeling when you're rooting for someone you absolutely shouldn't? When you're biting your nails, equally terrified and thrilled by what might happen next? That's my sweet spot. My characters aren't just morally grey – they're practically pitch black with just enough humanity to make you fall for them despite your better judgment.

Fair warning: my books aren't for the faint of heart. If you're looking for sweet, gentle romance with well-adjusted individuals making healthy choices... well, you took a wrong turn somewhere! My stories feature psychological manipulation, twisted love, and the kind of tension that'll have you sleeping with the lights on. (Though let's be honest, you won't be sleeping – you'll be reading "just one more chapter" until sunrise.)

When I'm not writing about beautiful disasters falling in love with their worst nightmares, you can find me wandering around Boston's historic neighborhoods, people-watching and making up backstories for strangers (writers are professional stalkers, right?). I have an unhealthy addiction to iced coffee (even in winter – judge me), and my cat, Villain (yes, that's really his name), supervises all my writing sessions with judgy yellow eyes.

My writing process is chaos incarnate. I plot major scenes while doing mundane things like grocery shopping (if you've seen someone muttering about kidnapping scenarios in the cereal aisle, hi, that was probably me). I believe the best stories come from asking "What's the worst that could happen?" and then making it even worse. My characters hate me for it, but my readers seem to enjoy the emotional devastation.

To my readers: thank you for joining me on this dark journey. Your messages about staying up all night reading, throwing your Kindle across the room (please don't), and falling in love with characters you should probably report to the authorities make all those late-night writing sessions worth it. You're my kind of weird, and I love you for it.

What's next? Oh, I've got plans that'll make "Unhinged" look like a bedtime story. I'm currently working on my next novel that explores what happens when obsession meets revenge meets a love so wrong it has to be right. (My therapist is concerned, but my readers will be thrilled.)
