BLAKE. FROST

Hi there! I'm Blake Frost, and I write dark fantasy romance that'll make you question everything you thought you knew about fairy tales. (Trust me, my versions don't end with a simple "happily ever after" - they end with scars, secrets, and a whole lot of spice.)

I've always been drawn to the darker side of stories, even as a kid. While other children were reading about friendly dragons and benevolent princesses, I was fascinated by the ancient myths where gods devoured their children and love stories ended in tragedy. But don't worry - I promise to give you all the darkness AND the happy endings. They just might come with a few battle wounds along the way.

My journey into writing started during my college years, when I would stay up until 3 AM writing fanfiction (don't judge - we've all been there!). What began as a way to escape boring economics lectures turned into an obsession with crafting my own worlds. After graduating, I spent five years working in corporate marketing by day while building my fantasy worlds by night. Finally, in 2024, I decided to take the plunge and publish my first novel.

The Flame & Shadows series is my dark fantasy baby, starting with "King of Shadows & Fire" and continuing with "Bride of Flame & Secrets." I built this world around Lilith, a princess who everyone thinks they know - the perfect, kind-hearted royal who can do no wrong. But what happens when that perfect facade cracks? When the kindest soul in the kingdom discovers she has claws? (Spoiler alert: chaos. Beautiful, delicious chaos.)

My writing style? Think Sarah J. Maas meets Katee Robert, but with my own twisted spin. I love taking familiar fantasy tropes and turning them inside out. The "pure" princess might have blood on her hands. The "evil" king might be the only one telling the truth. Nothing is quite what it seems in my books, and that's exactly how I like it.

Fair warning: my books aren't for the faint of heart. I write about morally grey characters making questionable choices, explicit scenes that'll fog up your kindle, and enough emotional angst to make you throw your book across the room (please don't actually throw your kindle - they're expensive). There's violence, steam, and complicated relationships that blur the lines between right and wrong.

When I'm not writing, you can find me collecting antique keys (yes, really - I have over 200!), binging fantasy shows with my rescue cat Mr. Whiskers, or researching obscure mythology for future book inspiration. I'm powered by too much coffee and an unhealthy obsession with creating playlists for my characters.

Your theories about what's coming next make me cackle with evil author glee.
