Hey there! I'm C M Locke, and I write dark romance that'll probably make your mama clutch her pearls. (Sorry not sorry, Mom.) You know those stories where the villain is way more interesting than the hero? Yeah, those are my jam.

I've always been drawn to the darker side of storytelling, even as a kid. While other girls were reading Sweet Valley High, I was sneaking Stephen King novels under my covers with a flashlight. There's just something deliciously compelling about exploring those shadowy corners of human nature that polite society pretends don't exist.

My journey into writing started with fan fiction (don't judge – we've all been there!), but I quickly realized I wanted to create my own worlds where I could push boundaries and break all those pesky rules about what romance "should" be. My characters aren't your typical cookie-cutter good guys. They're possessive, morally gray, and sometimes straight-up unhinged. But hey, aren't those the most fun to read about?

When I launched "His Sinful Marks" in early 2025, I wasn't sure if readers would connect with my particular brand of darkness. Turns out there are plenty of you who love a good kidnapping story with a healthy dose of forced proximity! (And by "healthy," I mean totally toxic but addictively readable.) The response blew me away, and it gave me the confidence to dig even deeper into my twisted little imagination.

"Fate of a Blood Moon" came next, letting me blend my love of dark romance with elemental magic and fated mates. Because the only thing better than a morally gray hero is a morally gray hero with supernatural powers, am I right? I love writing those "touch her and die" moments that make readers simultaneously swoon and question their life choices.

When I'm not writing spicy scenes that would make a demon blush, you can find me binge-watching true crime documentaries (for research, obviously), spoiling my rescue cats, or adding to my collection of crystals and tarot cards. Yes, I'm that kind of witch. ✨

My writing process is chaos incarnate – think 3 AM writing sessions fueled by way too much coffee and playlist that would give my therapist nightmares. I plot just enough to know where I'm going but leave room for my characters to surprise me. And boy, do they love to throw curveballs! Sometimes I'll be writing a scene and think, "Okay, that's too dark," but then my MMC (male main character) just laughs and says "Hold my beer."

What can you expect from my books? Enemies-to-lovers tension so thick you could cut it with a knife (or other sharp objects my MMCs might be carrying). Banter that'll make you snort-laugh at inappropriate moments. Multiple POVs because I love getting inside everyone's head (it's messy in there). And steam... lots of steam. The kind that might make you need to fan yourself in public if you're reading on your phone.

Fair warning: my books aren't for everyone, and that's totally okay! If you like your romance sweet and wholesome, I'm probably not your girl.
