Hi there! I'm Charlotte Rose, and I write dark billionaire romance that pushes boundaries and makes some people seriously uncomfortable. (But if you're here, you probably like that sort of thing. Welcome to the dark side – we have incredibly wealthy, morally ambiguous men.)

Let me be upfront: I never set out to write the kind of romance that makes "clean" romance readers clutch their pearls. But when I started writing, these deliciously dark stories just poured out of me. I've always been fascinated by power dynamics, wealth, and the grey areas between right and wrong. My Rapine series explores what happens when obscenely wealthy men from an elite secret society decide they'll stop at nothing to possess the women they want. And I do mean nothing. (Fair warning: these books aren't for the faint of heart!)

I grew up devouring romance novels under my covers with a flashlight, but I always found myself wanting more edge, more darkness, more moral ambiguity. Where were the truly ruthless alpha males? The ones who didn't just play at being bad boys, but actually crossed lines that would make most people shudder? I couldn't find enough books that scratched that particular itch, so I decided to write them myself.

My writing style? Raw. Intense. Unapologetic. I don't sugar-coat the darkness in my books or try to make my male leads more palatable. They're billionaires who are used to taking what they want, consequences be damned. The women in my books find themselves caught in their web, fighting an attraction that goes against everything they believe in. (Sound twisted? It absolutely is. That's kind of my brand.)

The Rapine series started as my exploration of what happens when unlimited power meets unstoppable desire. Derek and Julian aren't your typical romance heroes – they're members of an elite secret society, multi-billionaires who operate above the law and outside normal moral constraints. They're the kind of men who see something they want and simply take it. The fact that readers have connected with these morally bankrupt but magnetically attractive characters tells me I'm not the only one who likes their romance with a heavy dose of darkness.

When I'm not writing about dangerous billionaires and the women they obsess over, I'm probably reading similar books, drinking way too much coffee, or plotting my next morally questionable storyline. (My browser history would definitely raise some eyebrows at the FBI.)

Here's what you should know if you're thinking about diving into my books: they're dark. Really dark. They feature non-consensual themes, dubious consent, possessive behavior, and men who definitely belong in therapy rather than relationships. But they also explore the complexity of attraction, the seductive nature of power, and the way love can bloom in the most twisted circumstances. If you're looking for sweet, gentle romance, you should probably run far away from my books. But if you like your romance with a side of psychological thriller and don't mind feeling a little dirty for enjoying it, we're going to get along just fine.

I write for readers who want to explore the shadows, who aren't afraid to admit that sometimes the most compelling love stories are the ones that make us question our own moral compass. My books aren't for everyone, and I'm totally okay with that. (In fact, if my books don't offend at least some people, I'm probably doing something wrong.)
