Hey there, beautiful dark souls! I'm Clarissa Wild, and I write the kind of romance that makes your mother clutch her pearls and your book club raise their eyebrows. (But let's be honest, those are usually the best books, right?)

From the moment I could string sentences together, I knew I wanted to write stories. Not just any stories – the kind that make your heart race, your palms sweat, and your moral compass spin in delicious confusion. Growing up in the Netherlands, I was always the kid with her nose buried in a book, usually something way too mature for my age. Sorry, Mom!

But here's the thing: I never set out to write dark romance specifically. Life has a funny way of leading you exactly where you need to be, even if you're kicking and screaming the whole way there. After years of trying to write "acceptable" romance (whatever that means), I finally embraced my darker side. And oh boy, did it feel like coming home.

You know those stories that live in the shadows, where the line between right and wrong gets deliciously blurry? That's my playground. My latest baby, "Boys Who Hunt," is probably the perfect example of what happens when I let my imagination run wild (pun absolutely intended). Three morally grey (okay, let's be real – mostly black) heroes who'll make you question everything you thought you knew about good and bad? Sign me up!

Here's what you need to know about my books: they're not for the faint of heart. I write about the monsters hiding under your bed – the ones you secretly want to crawl out and devour you whole. My characters are complicated, often broken, and sometimes downright villainous. But there's always that spark of humanity that makes you root for them, even when you know you probably shouldn't.

(And yes, I'm perfectly aware this probably says something about my psychological state. My therapist and I have had many interesting conversations about it. 😉)

When I'm not corrupting minds with my dark tales, you'll find me binge-watching true crime documentaries (research, I swear!), spoiling my cats rotten, or trying to convince my family that my browser history is completely normal for a romance author. They're not buying it, but they love me anyway.

To my readers: you beautiful, twisted souls who get just as excited about morally ambiguous characters as I do – you're my people. I love connecting with you on social media, reading your theories about what twisted path I'm going to take next, and watching you fall in love with the very characters you swore you'd hate. Your messages and reviews make my day, even (especially) when you're yelling at me for breaking your heart. Don't worry, I'll always put it back together... eventually.

My writing philosophy is pretty simple: go where the darkness leads you. Some of my best scenes have come from those moments when I thought "I can't write that!" and then did it anyway. Because that's where the magic happens – in those uncomfortable spaces between right and wrong, love and hate, pleasure and pain.

If you're new to my world, buckle up, buttercup. You're in for a wild ride (again, pun intended – I'm not sorry). Expect morally grey heroes who'll ruin you for all other book boyfriends, heroines who give as good as they get, and plots that'll keep you guessing until the very last page. There will be moments when you want to throw your e-reader across the room (please don't), times when you'll hate me (I can take it), and scenes that'll make you blush in public (you're welcome).

Fair warning: once you step into my dark little corner of the romance world, there's no going back. But trust me, you won't want to. The shadows are much more fun anyway.
