Hey there! I'm Colette Rhodes, and I write spicy paranormal romance that probably shouldn't be read in public (seriously, you've been warned). If you're looking for sweet, gentle love stories where everyone follows the rules... you might want to keep scrolling.

I've always been the kind of person who asks "but what if?" a little too often. What if soul bonds weren't the beautiful, perfect thing everyone says they are? What if being "broken" actually meant being free? These questions kept bouncing around in my head until I finally had to put them on paper, and that's how my debut novel "Run Riot" was born.

Let me tell you a secret: I never planned to write reverse harem romance. (I know, I know - shocking plot twist!) But when I started writing about my heroine who was supposed to be a "failed" soul bond candidate, these four incredible male characters showed up and refused to leave. Who was I to argue? Sometimes the best stories are the ones that ambush you when you least expect it.

I write about outcasts, rebels, and anyone who's ever felt like they don't quite fit the mold society carved out for them. My characters tend to be messy, complicated, and sometimes make terrible decisions - you know, like actual people do. There's usually plenty of steam (okay, fine, A LOT of steam), supernatural shenanigans, and enough tension to make you want to throw your e-reader across the room. (Please don't actually throw your e-reader. They're expensive.)

When I'm not writing about stubborn paranormal creatures finding love in all the wrong places, I'm probably reading other people's books, binge-watching supernatural shows for "research" (that's my story and I'm sticking to it), or trying to convince my cat that my keyboard is not, in fact, the most comfortable spot in the house to take a nap.

Fair warning: my books tend to include: - Characters who break all the rules (and sometimes the furniture) - Spice levels that would make a ghost pepper blush - Found family vibes (because chosen family is the best family) - Supernatural elements that go bump in the night (and sometimes during the day) - Multiple love interests (because why choose?) - Happy endings (eventually - I make them work for it)

I believe romance should be inclusive, empowering, and hot enough to steam up your reading glasses. My stories aren't just about finding love - they're about finding yourself, creating your own destiny, and maybe saving the world while you're at it (no pressure).

If you enjoy stories where the "broken" heroine turns out to be the strongest one of all, where love doesn't follow a rulebook, and where happily ever after comes with a side of chaos, you're in the right place. My "Run Riot" series is just the beginning - I've got so many more stories fighting to get out of my head and onto the page.
