Hey there! I'm Cynthia Eden, and I've been writing dark and dangerous love stories for longer than I care to admit. (Let's just say I started typing away back when paranormal romance was still trying to convince everyone that vampires could be sexy. Spoiler alert: We won that battle.)

Writing steamy paranormal romance and romantic suspense wasn't exactly what my family expected when I told them I wanted to be a writer. But here's the thing - I've always been drawn to stories where danger lurks in the shadows and love burns hot enough to scorch. Growing up in the deep South, I spent countless nights reading under the covers with a flashlight, devouring every romantic suspense novel I could get my hands on. Those stories sparked something in me that never went away.

After getting my degree in Journalism and Communications (yes, I actually use that degree!), I worked as a reporter for a while. But those fictional stories kept calling to me. The characters in my head wouldn't shut up until I gave them life on the page. So I started writing at night, creating worlds where demons walk among us, where shifters prowl the streets, and where love is the most dangerous power of all.

My Night Watch series (including "Eternal Flame," "Hotter After Midnight," and "Midnight's Master") explores what happens when the creatures that go bump in the night find their perfect matches. And trust me, it's not always pretty. I love writing characters who have to fight for their happily ever after - sometimes literally. There's usually blood involved. And definitely some steam. (If you're looking for sweet and gentle romance, you might want to back away slowly...)

When I'm not torturing my characters (it's done with love, I promise!), I'm probably hanging out with my family in Alabama, plotting my next book while pretending to do normal things like grocery shopping. Fun fact: I've definitely worked out major plot twists while standing in the cereal aisle. My family has learned to recognize my "I just figured out how to kill someone" face and knows to give me space until I can get it written down.

My writing style? Think dark chocolate with a razor blade hidden inside. Sweet enough to make you crave more, but with an edge that might draw blood. I believe the best romances are the ones where the stakes are high, the passion is higher, and the journey leaves a few scars along the way. My heroes and heroines earn their happy endings, usually while fighting supernatural threats, government conspiracies, or their own inner demons. Sometimes all three at once. (I never claimed to be nice to my characters.)

To my readers: you're my kind of people. You understand that love isn't always pretty, that the best stories sometimes make you uncomfortable, and that happy endings mean more when you have to fight for them. You're the reason I keep pushing boundaries and exploring the darker side of romance. Your messages about staying up all night to finish one of my books make my day (even though I probably should feel guilty about your lack of sleep... I don't).

What can you expect from my books? Intense attraction that borders on obsession. Complex characters with real flaws and sometimes questionable morals. Danger that feels real enough to make your heart race. And love stories that prove even the darkest souls can find their perfect match - if they're willing to risk everything for it.

Fair warning: I don't write easy stories. My characters go through hell (sometimes literally - I do write about demons, after all) before they get their happy ending. But I promise you this: the journey will be worth it. And there will always, always be a happy ending. Even if we have to fight through a few apocalypses to get there.
