Hey there, dark romance lovers! I'm D L Blade, and I write the kind of steamy, morally gray stories that'll probably get me put on a government watchlist somewhere. (My browser history is... interesting, to say the least.)

Writing has always been my escape, but I never thought I'd end up creating worlds where possessive alphas and dangerous love stories collide. Funny how life works out, right? I started out devouring every paranormal and dark romance I could get my hands on, always wanting MORE. You know that feeling when a book ends and you're like "But what if it went even darker?" Yeah, that's basically how I started writing.

My stories aren't for the faint of heart. I write unapologetically intense men who blur every line between right and wrong, and women strong enough to stand toe-to-toe with them. If you're looking for sweet, gentle romance... um, you might want to look elsewhere. (Though I do throw in some banter and steam to balance out all the darkness!)

'His Sinful Marks' was my first venture into standalone dark romance, and holy crow, did you all embrace it! Nothing makes me happier than seeing readers lose their minds over my morally questionable hero and the forced proximity situation that, let's be honest, nobody was really trying to escape from. What can I say? Sometimes the best love stories start with a kidnapping. 😈

But my true passion project has been 'Fate of a Blood Moon' - it's where I get to blend all my favorite things: enemies-to-lovers tension that could power a small city, fated mates who fight their connection (spoiler: resistance is futile), and enough elemental magic to make Avatar look tame. Plus, there's my signature "touch her and die" energy that I just can't help adding to every protective/possessive hero I write.

When I'm not writing scenes that make my mom question my mental health, I'm probably binge-watching true crime documentaries (research!), drinking way too much coffee (it's basically writer fuel), or plotting new ways to torture... I mean, challenge my characters. My husband has learned to recognize my "I just thought of a really twisted plot point" face and knows to just hand me my laptop and back away slowly.

I believe the best stories are the ones that make you question everything - your morals, your preferences, and especially that little voice in your head saying "I shouldn't be rooting for this guy, BUT..." If you're looking for books that'll keep you up all night, make you fan yourself inappropriately in public, and possibly concern your Kindle algorithm, you're in the right place.

My writing style? Think dark chocolate with a razor blade inside - sweet enough to be addictive, sharp enough to draw blood. I love writing multiple POVs because there's nothing better than being in both characters' heads when everything goes sideways. And trust me, in my books, things ALWAYS go sideways.

To my readers: thank you for being just as twisted as I am. Your messages about staying up until 3 AM to finish "just one more chapter" make my day. Your theories about what's coming next (some of you are scary good at guessing!) keep me on my toes. And your willingness to dive into these dark, complex worlds with me means everything.

Fair warning: if you pick up one of my books, expect possessive heroes who don't apologize for claiming what's theirs, heroines who give as good as they get, plots that'll make you gasp (in the best way), and enough steam to fog up your reading glasses. Also, maybe don't read these books around your grandmother. Just saying.
