Hey there! I'm Deiri Di, and I write dark paranormal romance that probably shouldn't be read in public (unless you're really good at keeping a straight face). Fair warning: I have an unhealthy obsession with putting my characters through emotional hell before they get their happy ending.

My journey into writing started like many others – as a total accident. I was that quiet kid in the back of the class, scribbling stories about witches and demons instead of paying attention to algebra (sorry, Mom). But while most people grow out of their supernatural daydreams, I just kept diving deeper into the rabbit hole. There's something deliciously addictive about mixing magic with messy relationships, don't you think?

I published my first novel, "This Will Be Over Soon," in 2024, and wow – what a wild ride that's been! It's a story about unrequited love, meddling magical familiars, and the terrifying reality of finally going after what you want. (And yes, I may or may not have based some of Magnus's more frustrating traits on real people. No, I won't tell you who.) The response from readers has been incredible, and honestly? Sometimes I still can't believe people actually want to read the weird stuff that comes out of my brain.

When it comes to my writing style, I like to think of it as "cozy dark romance" – if that makes any sense at all. You know, like drinking hot chocolate while watching a storm roll in. My stories always have magical elements woven through them, but at their heart, they're about people trying to figure out love while dealing with their own personal demons (sometimes literally). I write characters who are messy, complicated, and occasionally make terrible decisions. But isn't that what makes them real?

What can you expect from my books? Well: - Slow-burn romance that'll make you want to throw your e-reader across the room (please don't) - Magic systems that actually make sense (I spent way too much time world-building) - Characters who need therapy but get true love instead - Familiars who have absolutely no respect for personal boundaries - Spice. Because what's the point of all that tension if it doesn't lead somewhere fun?

When I'm not writing, you can usually find me hoarding crystals (for research purposes, obviously), trying to convince my cat she's not actually a familiar (she remains unconvinced), and drinking concerning amounts of coffee. I live in a small apartment that's slowly being taken over by books, and I have a bad habit of staying up until 3 AM when a story idea won't leave me alone.

I'm currently working on my next book, which features a grumpy warlock, a sunshine witch, and a prophecy that's probably going to ruin everyone's day. Because apparently, I can't write anything without throwing in at least one world-ending crisis.
