Elena Wren

Dark Romance Author

Hey there! I'm Elena Wren, and I write dark fantasy romance where time itself bends to the will of love (even when it probably shouldn't). Fair warning: if you're looking for stories where magic plays by the rules and time stays neatly in its lane, you might want to look elsewhere. I tend to break things – including the fabric of reality.

Writing has always been my escape, but it wasn't until I nearly lost someone dear to me that I really understood the desperate lengths we'll go to for love. That moment sparked the idea for "The Witch Who Broke Time." What if you could actually change fate? And more importantly, what if you shouldn't?

I grew up devouring fantasy books under my covers with a flashlight (sorry, Mom), but I always found myself scribbling alternate endings where the romance took center stage. You know those moments in fantasy novels where the love interest dies for the "greater good"? Yeah, I wasn't having any of that. In my stories, love IS the greater good – even if it comes at a terrible price.

When I'm not writing about witches who tear apart the space-time continuum for love (totally reasonable behavior, if you ask me), I'm probably wandering through old bookstores, collecting vintage timepieces that don't work (there's probably a metaphor in there somewhere), or trying to convince my cat that 3 AM is not an appropriate time for zoomies. Spoiler alert: I never win that argument.

My writing style? Think dark fantasy romance with teeth. I love exploring the grey areas between right and wrong, especially when it comes to love. My characters tend to make terrible decisions for beautiful reasons, and I'm not sorry about it. There's usually magic, always romance, and definitely consequences – because breaking time isn't exactly a minor offense, you know?

"The Witch Who Broke Time" is my debut novel, but don't let that fool you – I've been crafting this world in my head for years. Eira Quinn's story is just the beginning. There are so many threads of fate waiting to be unraveled (possibly literally – time magic is messy business).

I believe romance readers are some of the smartest, most passionate people out there. You understand that love stories aren't just about the happily ever after – they're about the cost of getting there. And sometimes, that cost involves shattering a few universal laws. No big deal, right?

What can you expect from my books? Complex characters who will break your heart (and possibly the space-time continuum), magic systems that don't play nice, romance that burns slow but hot, and endings that will make you question everything you thought you knew about fate. Also, probably some cats. Because every witch needs a familiar, and dogs are too well-behaved for my characters.

I love connecting with readers! You can find me on Instagram where I post way too many photos of my book research (old grimoires, antique watches, and the occasional cat photobomb), or join my newsletter for behind-the-scenes peeks at upcoming projects and the occasional time-bending spell (kidding about that last part... mostly).

Fair warning though: once you step into one of my stories, time might not flow quite the same way when you return. But isn't that half the fun?

Looking forward to breaking some universal laws together, Elena

P.S. If you notice any temporal anomalies while reading my books, that's totally normal. Probably. Maybe don't mention it to any time authorities though, just to be safe.
