Hey there! I'm Ellie Camden, and I write dark romance that'll probably make your mom clutch her pearls. (Sorry not sorry, Mom.)

I never expected to become an author, let alone one who writes steamy stories about revenge, redemption, and really hot hockey players. But here we are! Growing up in Minnesota, hockey was basically a religion in our house. My dad coached, my brothers played, and I spent more time in freezing rinks than I care to admit. Those experiences definitely shaped my writing, even if my stories are WAY spicier than anything that actually happened in those family-friendly arenas.

My journey to writing started in the most cliché way possible - I was reading a romance novel one day and thought "I could do this!" (Narrator voice: It was NOT that simple.) After about 50 failed attempts and enough coffee to fuel a small country, I finally finished my first book, "Marked by Ice." And holy smokes, you guys actually liked it! Who knew my twisted little story about hockey, revenge, and forbidden attraction would find its people?

Here's the thing about my writing: I don't do sweet and fluffy. My characters are messy, complicated, and sometimes downright toxic. They make terrible decisions, fall for the wrong people, and generally crash through life like a bull in an emotional china shop. But isn't that more fun to read about? (If you're looking for clean romance, you might want to slowly back away now...)

When I'm not writing about hot hockey players and the women who bring them to their knees, I'm probably: - Binge-watching true crime documentaries for "research" (at least that's what I tell my therapist) - Walking my rescue dog, Luna, who has exactly zero chill - Attempting to perfect my dairy-free hot chocolate recipe (still a work in progress) - Procrastinating on Twitter while pretending to write

My stories usually feature: • Morally gray characters (okay, sometimes straight-up morally black) • Steamy scenes that'll fog up your e-reader • Complex family dynamics that'll make you grateful for your own dysfunctional relatives • Sports elements (because apparently I can't escape hockey even in fiction) • Revenge plots that go sideways in the best/worst ways

"Marked by Ice" is just the beginning. I've got more stories brewing in my caffeine-addled brain, and they're only getting darker and steamier. Fair warning: I don't believe in censoring myself or my characters. They say what they want to say and do what they want to do, and sometimes that means pushing boundaries that make people uncomfortable. If that's not your jam, I totally get it! There are lots of wonderful clean romance authors out there.

But if you like your romance with a side of darkness, a dash of sports drama, and characters who definitely need therapy? Pull up a chair, grab your beverage of choice, and let's get cozy. I promise to take you on one hell of a ride.
