Hey romance lovers! I'm Erica Frost, and I write steamy billionaire romances that'll make you question your taste in men (in the best possible way). Fair warning: my heroes are usually the kind of guys your mother warned you about. You know, the ones who look sinfully good in custom suits but have questionable morals and even more questionable intentions.

I never actually meant to become a romance writer. In fact, I spent years working in corporate finance, surrounded by the exact type of power-hungry alpha males I now write about. (Let's just say some of my heroes might be inspired by real-life encounters in those gleaming skyscraper offices... though I'll never tell which ones!) After one particularly soul-crushing day of spreadsheets and toxic masculinity, I started writing what would eventually become "Ruthless Billionaire" as a way to process my feelings about a particularly infuriating colleague.

Turns out, writing about complicated men with too much money and not enough conscience is way more fun than actually dealing with them in real life.

My debut novel, "Ruthless Billionaire," introduces Jesse Stanton – the kind of man who makes terrible decisions look good and good girls consider becoming bad. When I first started writing his story, I honestly wasn't sure if readers would connect with a hero who's basically a walking red flag wrapped in Tom Ford. But here's the thing about complicated characters: they're just like us, only with better cars and worse coping mechanisms.

I write the kind of romance that lives in the grey areas. My characters aren't perfect – they're messy, they make mistakes, and sometimes they do things that'll make you want to throw your Kindle across the room. (Please don't though. Kindles are expensive, and I've got more books coming!) You'll find plenty of steam in my books, but you'll also find complex family dynamics, corporate intrigue, and characters working through their own trauma and trust issues.

When I'm not writing about billionaires behaving badly, I'm probably cuddling with my rescue cat, Maurice (yes, named after Beauty and the Beast – I'm a Disney nerd and I'm not sorry), or testing new cocktail recipes for "research." I live in Boston, which means I spend half the year complaining about the snow and the other half complaining about the humidity. Coffee is my love language, and I firmly believe that 3 AM is either way too late or way too early, depending on whether you're writing or reading.

My writing process is chaos incarnate. I plot extensively, then my characters ignore everything I've planned and do whatever they want anyway. I write best at night, fueled by expensive coffee and cheap chocolate. Sometimes I cry while writing emotional scenes, and yes, I absolutely talk to my characters like they're real people. (My therapist says this is fine as long as they don't talk back.)

I'm still new to this whole author thing, but I'm already working on my next book, which features a grumpy CEO with a god complex and the woman who brings him to his knees. (Metaphorically. Mostly.) I can't wait to share more stories with you all.
