Hey there! I'm Frankie Ruwa, and I write dark fantasy romance that'll probably get me put on some kind of watch list. (Just kidding... mostly.)

Let me tell you, I never expected to end up writing stories about forbidden magic and morally gray characters who definitely shouldn't be kissing each other – but here we are! Growing up, I was that kid who always had her nose buried in a book, usually something with dragons, magic, or preferably both. My parents probably should've been concerned about how much time I spent daydreaming about dangerous magical creatures and brooding anti-heroes, but instead they just kept feeding my fantasy addiction with more books. Thanks, Mom and Dad!

I started writing my own stories in college, mostly as a way to procrastinate on my actual assignments (sorry, professors!). What began as late-night scribbles in notebooks turned into full-blown manuscripts hidden away on my laptop. I wrote about all the things that fascinated me – dark magic, forbidden romance, complex power dynamics, and characters who blur the lines between good and evil.

When I finally worked up the courage to share Blood and Flame with the world, I honestly thought maybe three people would read it. Turns out there are quite a few of you who share my love for spicy fantasy romance where the stakes are life-or-death and the chemistry is explosive! (Sometimes literally, when you're dealing with fire magic.)

In my books, you'll find: • Magic systems that come with a price • Strong heroines who aren't afraid to play with fire (again, sometimes literally) • Heroes who probably need therapy but are getting steamy scenes instead • Political intrigue that'll keep you guessing • Slow-burn romance that eventually erupts into an inferno • And enough sexual tension to power a small city

Blood and Flame is my debut novel, but trust me – I've got plenty more stories simmering in my twisted little brain. I love exploring themes of power, forbidden desire, and the gray area between right and wrong. My characters usually start out thinking they know exactly where they stand, only to have their whole world turned upside down by someone they should definitely NOT be falling for.

When I'm not writing, you can usually find me: • Binge-reading fantasy romance until 3 AM • Drinking concerning amounts of coffee • Taking long walks while plotting ways to torture my characters • Playing with my rescue cat, Shadow (yes, I'm that kind of fantasy author) • Pretending to be a functional adult

I believe the best stories are the ones that grab you by the throat and don't let go until the very last page. My goal is to write books that keep you up all night, make you feel things you didn't expect, and leave you thinking about the characters long after you've finished reading. Fair warning: I don't always guarantee happy endings, but I do promise one hell of a ride.
