Hey there! I'm G. Bailey, and I write dark fantasy romance that'll probably make your mom raise an eyebrow. (But let's be honest, those are always the best books, right?)

I've always been drawn to the darker side of storytelling, even as a kid. While other children were reading fairy tales with happy endings, I was scribbling alternate versions where the witch had a valid point and the princess wasn't waiting around for anyone to save her. My teachers were... concerned, to say the least. But hey, look who's making a career out of it now!

Writing wasn't my first career path - I actually spent years trying to fit into the "normal" world of 9-to-5 jobs. But those stories in my head wouldn't shut up, especially at 3 AM when I should've been sleeping. They were full of morally grey characters, dangerous magic, and the kind of romance that burns so hot it might leave scars. Finally, I decided to stop fighting it and let these dark tales loose on the world.

My debut novel "Runes of Mortality" is pretty much my heart and soul on paper. It's about Evie, who literally goes through hell (and that's just the beginning of her problems). When I was writing it, I kept thinking, "What if death isn't the worst thing that could happen to someone?" Turns out, there are plenty of fates worse than death, and my characters get to experience quite a few of them. (Sorry not sorry, characters!)

Here's what you can expect from my books: - Heroines who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty - Heroes who might actually be villains (or both, because why choose?) - Magic systems that come with a price - Romance that's definitely not vanilla - Plot twists that'll make you throw your e-reader (please don't actually throw it) - And endings that might make you cry, but I promise they're worth it

When I'm not torturing characters, I'm probably drinking way too much coffee (is there such a thing?), playing with my rescue cats (who judge my writing choices harder than any critic), or researching ancient runes and mythology (my browser history would terrify most people).

I believe the best stories are the ones that make you feel everything - the pain, the passion, the rage, and yes, even the love. Because let's face it, real love isn't always pretty. Sometimes it's messy, dangerous, and exactly what we need to survive our own personal hells.

Fair warning: my books aren't for everyone. If you're looking for sweet, clean romance where everything works out perfectly, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you like your fantasy with a heavy dose of darkness, your romance with sharp edges, and your happy endings earned through blood and tears... well, you've found your new favorite author.

I write for the readers who want to explore the shadows, who aren't afraid to face the monsters - and maybe fall in love with them along the way. My characters will break your heart, but I promise to put it back together... mostly. (There might be a few cracks left, but that's how the light gets in, right?)
