Hey there! I'm Gemini Johnson, and I write the kind of dark romance that would make my high school English teacher need a stiff drink. (Sorry, Mrs. Peterson, but those Shakespeare analyses didn't quite prepare you for this...)

I'll be honest - I never expected my first published book would be about a stalker protagonist. But here we are, and I wouldn't have it any other way. See, I've always been fascinated by the thin line between obsession and love, between right and wrong, between "maybe I should" and "definitely shouldn't." Those gray areas? That's where all the juicy stuff happens.

Growing up in Michigan with my nose constantly buried in books (seriously, I once walked into a lamp post while reading), I always knew I'd write someday. What I didn't know was that my brain would cook up stories that make people simultaneously clutch their pearls and frantically turn pages. My mom still gives me concerned looks when I tell her about my plots over Sunday dinner.

"The Perks of Stalking" started as a late-night thought experiment: what if someone justified their stalking as "research" for their art? What if they truly believed they were doing nothing wrong? The character of Agatha came to me fully formed at 3 AM, and I knew I had to tell her story. (Even though she terrified me a little. Okay, a lot.)

My writing style? Think champagne laced with arsenic. Sweet, bubbly, and absolutely deadly. I love creating characters who make terrible choices for what they think are perfectly good reasons. The kind of stories that make you root for people you know you shouldn't. Because let's face it - we've all had those moments where we've gone a little too far down the rabbit hole stalking someone's social media, right? ...Right? (Please say yes so I feel better about myself.)

When I'm not writing morally questionable characters, you can find me teaching creative writing at the local community center (don't worry, I keep things PG there), hiking with my rescue dog Phantom (yes, named after Phantom of the Opera - I contain multitudes), or trying to perfect my chai latte recipe. I'm also slightly obsessed with true crime podcasts, which probably explains a lot about my writing.

What can you expect from my books? Psychological tension that'll make your skin crawl (in the best way). Characters who blur every line they come across. Romance that's as dangerous as it is addictive. And endings that'll leave you questioning your own moral compass.

I believe the best stories are the ones that make us uncomfortable but keep us reading anyway. The ones that make us examine our own darker impulses and think "there but for the grace of God go I." Also, the ones that include really hot scenes. Because why not have both?

Fair warning: my books aren't for everyone. If you like your romance sweet and uncomplicated, I'm probably not your girl. But if you enjoy walking that razor's edge between love and obsession, if you like your happily-ever-afters with a side of psychological trauma, or if you've ever caught yourself scrolling too far back on someone's Instagram... well, pull up a chair. We're going to be great friends.
