Hey there, dark romance lovers! I'm Giulia Moretti, and I write the kind of stories that would make my Italian nonna cross herself and mutter prayers (sorry, Nonna!). Growing up between Italy and Germany, I always had a foot in two worlds – which might explain why I'm drawn to characters who live in the shadows between right and wrong.

Writing wasn't my first career path. I actually spent years working in corporate finance (I know, try not to fall asleep). But those late nights crunching numbers led to something unexpected – I started writing steamy scenes on my laptop during lunch breaks. What began as a secret escape from spreadsheets turned into full-blown novel writing. And let me tell you, calculating profit margins is WAY less exciting than plotting revenge scenarios for my morally gray characters.

My debut novel "Der Schattenkönig" (The Shadow King) is my love letter to all the twisted fairy tales I grew up reading – except mine definitely aren't suitable for children! It's a dark romance thriller that explores what happens when attraction becomes obsession, and when the line between protection and possession blurs beyond recognition. (Fair warning: if you're looking for a sweet, gentle hero... run far away from my books!)

I write in German, my adopted language, but my stories are soaked in Italian passion and intensity. My characters are complex, often broken, and usually dangerous. The men in my books aren't princes charming – they're the monsters hiding under your bed. And my heroines? They're strong women who discover their own darkness while dancing with devils.

When I'm not writing scenes that would scandalize my entire family, you can find me in my tiny Munich apartment, surrounded by way too many books and fueled by obscene amounts of espresso. My cat, Luna, judges my writing choices but stays for the treats. She's my main critique partner, though her feedback mostly consists of walking across my keyboard at crucial moments.

What can you expect from my books? Raw emotion. Psychological tension that'll keep you up at night. Steam that'll fog your e-reader. And endings that aren't always pretty, but they're always honest to the story and characters.

I believe the best romances are the ones that make us question everything we thought we knew about love, desire, and ourselves. My books aren't for everyone – and I'm totally okay with that. They're for readers who want to explore the shadowy corners of human nature, who aren't afraid to face the monsters... and maybe fall in love with them along the way.

The Dark Romance community has welcomed me with open arms (you're all beautifully twisted, and I mean that as the highest compliment).
