Hey there! I'm Grace Callaway, and I write steamy historical romance that'll make you blush, swoon, and possibly fan yourself with the nearest available object. (No judgment if it's your kindle—we've all been there!)

I never actually planned to become a romance writer. Back in my previous life, I was busy earning my PhD in British literature, poring over dusty tomes and drinking way too much coffee in university libraries. But you know what they say about the best-laid plans... While studying all those "proper" Victorian novels, I kept thinking about the stories that weren't being told—the passionate, messy, real romances happening behind closed doors and beyond the bounds of polite society.

So I started writing them myself. Late at night, after long days of academic writing, I'd let my imagination run wild with tales of headstrong heroines and the complicated, irresistible heroes who match them wit for wit (and kiss for kiss). Turns out those secret writing sessions were way more fun than my dissertation!

My latest book, "Two Secrets to Surrender," combines everything I love most: enemies forced to work together (my favorite!), a possibly cursed village that would make Jane Austen raise an eyebrow, and enough sexual tension to power a small town. I'm a firm believer that historical romance doesn't have to mean prim and proper—my characters definitely know their way around a bedchamber, even if they have to navigate corsets and cravats to get there.

When I'm not writing about scandalous encounters in library alcoves or heated arguments that turn into something much more interesting, you can find me in my home office in California, surrounded by historical research books and probably wearing yoga pants. (What can I say? They're more comfortable than a corset!) My rescue cat, Mr. Darcy, frequently "helps" by walking across my keyboard at crucial moments. He's convinced he's improving my prose, but the jury's still out on that one.

I write the kind of historical romance I always wanted to read—stories where the chemistry sizzles, the banter crackles, and the historical details feel lived-in rather than like window dressing. My heroes are complex men who aren't afraid to meet their match in equally complex heroines. And while my books definitely bring the steam (consider yourself warned!), the emotional journey is always at the heart of the story.
