Hey there! I'm Heanenna Parker, and I write the kind of steamy, suspenseful romance that'll keep you up way past your bedtime (sorry not sorry). If you're looking for sweet, gentle love stories where everything works out perfectly... well, you might want to keep scrolling. But if you like your romance with a side of "Oh damn, did that just happen?" then pull up a chair. We're gonna get along just fine.

I never actually planned to become a romance author. I spent years working in corporate law, drafting contracts and rolling my eyes at billionaire clients who thought rules didn't apply to them. (Spoiler alert: That experience definitely shows up in "Not Until I Say So" - Ronan McMaster may or may not be inspired by some real-life encounters. No, I won't tell you which ones. My lawyer says I can't. 😉)

My writing journey started during those endless late nights at the office, when I'd catch myself daydreaming about what might happen if that arrogant CEO actually met his match in a woman who wouldn't take his BS. Those daydreams turned into secret Word documents, which turned into my first manuscript... and here we are!

I write stories about complex women finding their power, often in the most unexpected ways. Sometimes that's a shy checkout girl discovering her inner strength ("Ruined Shards"), sometimes it's a badass attorney being brought to her knees - in more ways than one - by the very man she thought she despised ("Not Until I Say So"). My characters aren't perfect. They're messy, they make mistakes, and sometimes they do things that'll make you want to throw your e-reader across the room. But that's what makes them real.

My latest book, "Domicile," came from my own experience apartment hunting in NYC (though thankfully, my actual apartment hunt involved way fewer sinister secrets and forbidden attractions). I love taking everyday situations and asking "But what if...?" Then I throw in some steam, some suspense, and usually at least one scene that'll make my mother pretend she doesn't know what I do for a living.

When I'm not writing, you can find me wandering around New York City with my rescue pit bull, Luna, probably drinking way too much coffee and eavesdropping on conversations for "research." I'm half Filipino, half Irish, and 100% convinced that this combination is responsible for my love of both dramatic storytelling and dark humor.

Fair warning: My books aren't for everyone. They're for readers who like their romance with bite, who don't mind when things get a little (okay, a lot) dark, and who understand that sometimes the best love stories start in the most uncomfortable places. I write age-gap romance ("Her Love to Take"), enemies-to-lovers that'll make you question your morals, and thriller elements that'll keep you guessing until the very end.

To my readers: You guys are my people. The ones who DM me at 3 AM screaming about plot twists, who create incredible theories about where the stories are going (sometimes better than my actual plans - don't tell anyone), and who understand that romance doesn't always have to be pretty to be powerful.

What can you expect from my books? Steam. Suspense. Characters who are probably making terrible decisions but doing it so beautifully you can't help but root for them. Dialogue that'll make you snort-laugh at inappropriate moments. And endings that might not be traditionally "happy," but are always honest to the story.

I'm currently working on my next novel (fueled by cold brew and spite), and let's just say it's going to push some boundaries. If you're into that sort of thing, come join me on this wild ride. We'll have fun, we'll probably get into trouble, and we'll definitely need therapy afterward.
