Hey there! I'm Henna Hayden, and I write dark sci-fi romance that explores what happens when rigid control meets unstoppable rebellion. (Spoiler alert: sparks fly, rules shatter, and things get deliciously messy.)

I've always been fascinated by the intersection of order and chaos. Growing up in a strict household where emotions were treated as inconvenient disruptions probably had something to do with that. Books became my secret rebellion – hidden under my pillow, devoured by flashlight, treasured like contraband. I started writing my own stories at twelve, mostly about girls who broke all the rules and the complex, dangerous men who tried (and gloriously failed) to control them.

Fast forward through a soul-crushing stint in corporate compliance (oh, the irony), and I finally gathered the courage to write the book that had been haunting me for years. Protocol Six was born from my deepest questions about control, freedom, and the raw power of forbidden emotions. What happens when you take a man engineered to suppress humanity's messiest impulses and pair him with a woman who feels everything so intensely it could start a revolution?

My stories aren't your typical romance fare. I write about worlds where love isn't just forbidden – it's classified as a dangerous biological defect. Where touch is rationed, emotions are medicated away, and fertility is the new currency. My characters are complicated, often morally gray, and always intensely human (even when they've been engineered not to be).

The heroes? They're not waiting to be redeemed. They're products of their brutal worlds, efficient and merciless – until they crash headfirst into the one person who makes them question everything. And my heroines? They're forces of nature disguised as rebels, freedom fighters, and "biological anomalies." They don't need saving. They need equals who can handle their fire.

When I'm not writing about dystopian worlds and the people who break them, you can find me collecting vintage protest posters (my office walls are a museum of beautiful rebellion), attempting to keep my rescue cat from deleting my manuscripts (he has strong editorial opinions), and drinking way too much chai while plotting new ways to make my readers swoon, swear, and stay up way too late.

Fair warning: my books come with trigger warnings. They explore dark themes, complex power dynamics, and the kind of love that burns down systems. If you're looking for light and fluffy, I'm probably not your girl. But if you want stories that challenge boundaries, characters who get under your skin, and romance that feels like a revolution?
