Let me tell you, my path to becoming an author wasn't exactly a straight line. I spent years working in corporate America, drowning in spreadsheets and daydreaming about the stories swimming around in my head. You know those moments when you're supposed to be focusing on quarterly reports, but instead you're plotting out steamy scenes between a mysterious stranger and the woman who's about to turn his world upside down? Yeah, that was me.

I finally decided to take the plunge into writing full-time when my laptop crashed one day, and I nearly had a meltdown thinking I'd lost all my secret story notes. (Spoiler alert: they survived, thank god for cloud backup!) That was my wake-up call. If losing my written words felt worse than potentially losing my actual job files, maybe it was time to pay attention to what my heart was screaming.

My debut collection, "Keeping it Real," is my love letter to the places that have shaped me. From the neon-lit streets of Las Vegas (where I may or may not have had a few adventures of my own) to the courtrooms of Michigan (no comment on any personal experience there!), to the wide-open Nevada desert where secrets go to hide... I write about real places because real life is often stranger – and sexier – than fiction.

I'm known for writing heroines who don't need saving but wouldn't mind some company on their adventures. My heroes? They're complicated men who've got their own baggage to sort through, but they'll move heaven and earth for the right woman. And the chemistry between them? Let's just say you might want to keep a fan handy.

When I'm not writing, you can usually find me road-tripping across the country, collecting inspiration (and maybe a few speeding tickets). I believe the best stories come from real experiences, even if they're not always our own. That's why I spend so much time people-watching in coffee shops and eavesdropping on conversations in hotel bars. (If you've ever caught someone furiously typing notes into their phone while pretending to scroll through Instagram, that might have been me!)

My writing style? It's like sitting down with your best friend over a glass of wine (or three) and hearing about the most incredible night of their life. I don't do fancy prose or flowery descriptions – I want you to feel like you're right there in the story, heart racing, palms sweating, completely invested in what happens next.
