Hey there, dark romance lovers! I'm Jean Dark, and I write the kind of steamy, twisted stories that probably shouldn't turn you on... but definitely will. (Don't worry, I won't tell anyone if you won't.)

Growing up in Germany, I always had a fascination with the darker side of love stories. You know those fairy tales where the prince saves the princess? Yeah, in my versions, the prince is usually the one she needs saving FROM. But hey, that's half the fun, right?

I started writing seriously in 2017 after spending way too many years trying to fit into the "normal" corporate world. Let me tell you, nothing kills your soul quite like PowerPoint presentations and quarterly reports. One day, I just snapped. Opened my laptop and started writing the kind of story I desperately wanted to read – where the villains are sexy as sin, the tension is thick enough to cut with a knife, and happy endings aren't guaranteed. (Though I do promise emotional payoff, I'm not completely heartless!)

My debut novel "Kiss Me, Killer" introduced readers to Nina and Roman, a story that explores what happens when a woman who's hiding dangerous secrets meets a man who collects them like trophies. The chemistry between them is explosive, but so are the consequences. It's the kind of book that makes you want to scream at the characters while simultaneously fanning yourself.

Then came "Dark as Knight" in 2022, which might be my favorite child so far (don't tell the others). Two brothers, one woman, and enough sexual tension to power a small city. I love writing about morally gray characters who do questionable things for love – or what they think is love. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference when you're dealing with obsession, revenge, and the kind of desire that burns everything in its path.

My books aren't for everyone, and I'm totally okay with that. If you're looking for sweet, wholesome romance where everyone behaves themselves... well, you took a wrong turn somewhere. My characters are complicated, often broken, and sometimes downright villainous. They make bad decisions, act on their darkest impulses, and occasionally need to be hit with a heavy object. (I say this with love, I promise.)

When I'm not writing about dangerous men and the women who bring them to their knees, I'm probably curled up with my own stack of dark romance novels, drinking way too much coffee, and plotting new ways to torment my characters. My cat judges me for all of it, but she's stuck with me.

What can you expect from my books? Intense emotional connections, complicated relationships that blur all the lines, steamy scenes that'll make you blush on public transport, and characters who'll live in your head rent-free for weeks after you finish reading. I write about the kind of love that's a little bit wrong but feels so right.

Fair warning: I don't do trigger warnings. My books are dark romance – emphasis on the dark. Expect content that pushes boundaries and explores the shadows where love and obsession meet. If you need your romance safe and sanitized, I'm probably not your girl.
