You might be wondering how a former environmental consultant ended up writing steamy books about wizards and dark lords. Trust me, sometimes I wonder the same thing! But looking back, it makes perfect sense. I spent years writing technical documents by day while secretly scribbling stories about magic and romance by night. Finally, I decided life was too short to keep my imagination locked in a corporate cage.

(Lord Gabriel Phel and his journey from darkness to love is particularly close to my heart.) I'm a firm believer that fantasy romance should be more than just "magic plus kissing." Don't get me wrong – I love a good magical makeout scene as much as the next author. But I want my stories to dig deeper, to explore what happens when power meets passion, when ancient magic collides with modern hearts. My characters don't just fall in love – they challenge each other, grow together, and sometimes have to save each other from literal magical doom. You know, typical relationship stuff.

When I'm not writing about wizards and their complicated love lives, you can usually find me in my garden (where I pretend the weeds are actually magical plants), hanging out with my cats (who are definitely familiars in disguise), or lost in research about obscure magical traditions (my browser history would raise some serious eyebrows).
