Hey there, beautiful dark souls! I'm Jescie Hall, and I write the kind of romance that makes your church-going aunt clutch her pearls and your therapist raise an eyebrow. (Don't worry - mine does too.)

Let me tell you something - I never expected to be here, writing stories that explore the shadowy corners of obsession and faith. Growing up in a strict religious household, I was the good girl who always followed the rules. Well... mostly. But there was always this nagging voice in my head asking "what if?" What if we peeled back all those layers of propriety and really looked at what lurks beneath?

That's how "That SIK luv" was born. I wanted to write a story that danced right on that razor's edge between devotion and obsession, between faith and fanaticism. Is it dark? Hell yes. Twisted? Absolutely. But it's also raw and real and asks questions that a lot of people are afraid to even think about.

You see, I believe that romance doesn't always have to be hearts and flowers. Sometimes it's thorns and blood and questioning everything you thought you knew about right and wrong. My characters aren't your typical romance novel leads - they're complex, often morally grey individuals wrestling with their own demons while trying to find connection in a world that doesn't quite understand them.

(Fun fact: I wrote most of "That SIK luv" late at night while mainlining coffee and having existential debates with my cat. She's still judging me for some of those scenes.)

When I'm not writing stories that make people simultaneously fan themselves and question their life choices, I'm probably: - Having intense discussions about theology and sexuality - Binge-watching true crime documentaries - Taking long walks while plotting increasingly twisted storylines - Trying to convince my family that no, I haven't joined a cult, I just write about them

Look, I get it - my books aren't for everyone. If you're looking for light, fluffy romance, I'm probably not your girl. But if you want stories that push boundaries, challenge perceptions, and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty while exploring the messy reality of human desire and devotion? Pull up a chair, gorgeous. We're going to get along just fine.
