Hi there! I'm Kashmira Kamat, and I write dark romance that explores the shadowy corners of obsession, power, and twisted love. (Fair warning: My villains don't get redemption arcs – they just drag the heroine deeper into their beautiful chaos.)

Growing up in Mumbai before moving to the States, I was always fascinated by the duality of human nature – how someone could be both monster and savior, sometimes in the same breath. Maybe that's why I'm drawn to writing morally grey characters who blur all the lines. My mother would probably blame all those psychological thrillers I devoured when I should've been studying for my engineering exams. Sorry, Mom! (Though that engineering degree did come in handy for crafting meticulous revenge plots...)

After spending five years in corporate consulting (read: dying inside while making PowerPoint slides), I finally listened to that nagging voice telling me to write the dark, twisted stories living in my head. In 2019, I took the plunge and published my debut novel, "Psycho Billionaire." I poured all my fascination with psychological manipulation, wealth dynamics, and dangerous attraction into Kiara and Marcus's story. A waitress pushed to her breaking point. A ruthless billionaire with too many secrets. The kind of story that makes you question your own moral compass while frantically turning pages at 3 AM.

Here's the thing about my books – they're not for everyone, and I'm totally okay with that. I write about damaged people finding love in the darkest places. My heroes (if you can call them that) are possessive, obsessive, and usually nursing the kind of childhood trauma that would make therapists retire early. My heroines? They're survivors who give as good as they get, even when they're dancing with devils.

When I'm not writing scenes that would make my grandmother disown me (love you, Nani!), you can find me binge-watching true crime documentaries, testing new curry recipes, or spoiling my rescue cat, Karma. Yes, she's just as judgmental as her name suggests, especially when I'm writing particularly spicy scenes.

What can you expect from my books? Raw intensity. Psychological mind games. Steam that'll fog up your e-reader. Plots that twist like a Mumbai street. And characters who'll haunt you long after you turn the last page. No fade-to-black here, folks – I write every deliciously dark detail.

I'm currently working on my next standalone dark romance (hint: it involves an art heist, a vengeance-driven heiress, and a crime lord with a very particular obsession). My brain is basically a Pinterest board of "Ways To Torture Characters" mixed with "Hot Men in Suits" and "Badass Women with Weapons." It's a weird place, but I've made it home.

To my readers: thank you for diving into the darkness with me. Your messages about staying up all night to finish my books, or falling for characters you know you shouldn't, make all those 2 AM writing sessions worth it. (Though my under-eye concealer budget has definitely increased...)
