Let me tell you, I never expected to be here writing steamy books about grumpy ex-Marines and troublemaking romance novelists. I spent years working in corporate America, drowning in spreadsheets and pretending to care about quarterly projections. The highlight of my day was sneaking peeks at romance novels under my desk during mind-numbing meetings. Eventually, I realized I was living in my own enemies-to-lovers story - me versus my soul-crushing day job. Spoiler alert: I won.

Writing was always my escape, but I kept it hidden away like a dirty little secret. You know those notes apps full of story ideas and character sketches that you pray no one ever finds? Yeah, that was me. Until one day, during yet another "strategic planning session" (aka synchronized napping), I started writing what would eventually become Guard Dog. And let me tell you, once those characters got in my head, they refused to shut up.

I write the kind of books I always wanted to read - where the tension is thick enough to cut with a knife, the banter makes you snort-laugh at inappropriate moments, and the spice... well, let's just say you might want to keep a fan handy. My characters are messy, complicated, and sometimes make terrible decisions. But isn't that what makes them real? (And if you're judging them, just remember that one time you drunk-texted your ex. We've all been there.)

Guard Dog is my debut novel, and it's basically my heart wrapped in 300+ pages of sexual tension and witty comebacks. When Ami Zadegan, my chaotic-good romance novelist, crashes into the life of Lucas "Don't Call Me Luke" Mitchell, my grumpy ex-Marine security specialist, sparks fly. And not just the sexy kind - we're talking full-on dumpster fire levels of chaos. It's got all the tropes we love: forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine, and enough sexual tension to power a small city.

When I'm not writing, you can find me binge-watching true crime documentaries (research, I swear), spoiling my rescue dog rotten (she's the real Guard Dog), and consuming concerning amounts of coffee. I live in the Pacific Northwest where it rains 362 days a year, which is perfect for writing steamy scenes while listening to moody playlists.

I believe romance novels are more than just "smut" or "guilty pleasures." They're stories about hope, healing, and finding love in all its messy, complicated glory. My characters might start out broken, but they fight their way to their happily ever after - even if they have to burn everything down first.
