Hey there, dark hearts! I'm Kodjo Okweku, and I write the kind of love stories that would make your grandmother clutch her pearls and your therapist take extra notes. (Don't worry, my therapist is used to it by now.)

Growing up between Ghana and London, I was always fascinated by the stories my grandmother would tell – not the sweet fairy tales, but the dark folklores where love and danger danced together like intimate partners. Those tales planted seeds in my mind that would later bloom into something... deliciously twisted.

I spent years working as a psychiatric nurse (plot twist, right?), and let me tell you – nothing prepares you better for writing dark romance than seeing the complex ways human minds and hearts can tangle themselves up. Every day, I witnessed how thin the line between love and obsession really is. Those experiences now weave themselves into every story I write.

When I finally decided to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard, let's be real), I knew I wanted to create something different. Something that would make readers question everything they thought they knew about love. That's how my debut collection "Scary Short Stories For Adults - Dark Valentines Love Triangles, Vol.1" was born. It's my love letter to all the beautiful darkness that can exist in relationships.

My stories? They're not your typical boy-meets-girl, happily-ever-after fare. (Though if that's your thing, no judgment! We all need some sweetness sometimes.) Instead, I write about the messy, complicated, sometimes dangerous reality of what happens when love goes wrong – or maybe when it goes exactly right, depending on how twisted your perspective is.

I believe every love story has its shadows, and that's where the most interesting tales hide. In my writing, you'll find: - Love triangles that cut deeper than any knife - Psychological warfare disguised as romance - Characters who'll make you question your own moral compass - Endings that'll haunt you long after you close the book

When I'm not writing, you can find me tending to my collection of rare poisonous plants (kidding... mostly), reading true crime novels, or walking through London cemeteries for "research purposes." My partner has learned to stop asking questions when I spend hours googling things like "how long does it take for a body to decompose in different soils?" (For writing purposes only, I promise!)

To my readers: I know my stories aren't for everyone, and that's exactly how I like it. If you're looking for safe, comfortable romance, I'm probably not your guy. But if you want to explore the darker sides of love, the places where passion bleeds into madness, and where happy endings come with a body count – welcome home. You're among friends here. (Slightly unhinged friends, but friends nonetheless.)

My writing philosophy is simple: love isn't always beautiful, but it's always powerful. Sometimes it's a force of destruction rather than creation, and those stories deserve to be told too. I promise to never sugarcoat the darkness, but I'll always make the journey worth your while.

What can you expect from my books? Raw emotion. Psychological complexity. Characters who'll make you question everything you thought you knew about right and wrong. And most importantly, stories that'll keep you up at night – both from not being able to put them down and from being slightly afraid to turn off the lights.

Currently, I'm working on the next volume in my Dark Valentines series (spoiler alert: it's even darker than the first), and I've got several standalone novels in the works that I can't wait to share with you all.
