Hi! I'm Laura Kaye, and I'm pretty sure I was born to tell love stories. Not the sweet, gentle kind (though those are lovely!) - I write the kind that grab you by the heart and don't let go until the very last page. The ones where damaged souls find their perfect match, often in the most unexpected places.

Writing wasn't always my plan, believe it or not. I spent years in academia, teaching history at the college level (yes, really!), until a freak accident changed everything. In July 2008, I hit my head hard enough to get temporary amnesia. While recovering, stories started pouring out of me like never before. Maybe it was the universe's way of saying "Hey, this is what you're actually supposed to be doing with your life!" I haven't looked back since.

My characters? They're usually carrying some heavy emotional baggage - military veterans, motorcycle club members, paranormal beings trying to find their place in the world. I love writing about people who think they're too broken for love, then watching them discover just how wrong they are. (And yes, there's usually plenty of steam along the way! 🔥)

The Hard Ink series holds a special place in my heart, following a group of Special Forces veterans who find love while seeking redemption. Then there's the Raven Riders MC series, because who doesn't love protective, loyal bikers with hearts of gold? And don't even get me started on my paranormal series - those stories let me really unleash my imagination.

I'm particularly proud of my contribution to the 1001 Dark Nights collection, where I got to dive deep into the kind of intense, emotional storytelling I love most. These novellas are perfect little bites of darkness and passion that I pour my whole heart into.

When I'm not writing (which isn't often - these characters are LOUD), I'm probably reading, spending time with my family in Maryland, or dreaming up new ways to torture... I mean, challenge my characters. I'm a huge believer in happily ever afters, but I make my characters work for them. Nothing worth having comes easy, right?

What can you expect from my books? Raw emotion. Deep connections. Characters who feel so real you'll swear you know them. And yes, plenty of steamy scenes that'll fog up your e-reader. I write about the kind of love that changes people, heals wounds, and proves that even the most broken souls deserve happiness.

Fair warning: my books aren't for the faint of heart. There's angst, intensity, and sometimes dark themes. But there's also hope, redemption, and the kind of love that makes it all worth it. I believe in pushing boundaries while always keeping consent and emotional growth at the forefront.

I absolutely love connecting with readers (seriously, you all are the best!). You can find me on social media, where I probably spend too much time sharing book teasers, random thoughts, and pictures of my coffee addiction in action. My reader group is like a second family to me - we laugh together, cry together, and geek out over fictional characters together.
