Hey there! I'm Laura Scott, and I write Christian romantic suspense that'll keep you on the edge of your seat while warming your heart. (And yes, I firmly believe those two things can coexist beautifully!)

After spending over two decades as an ER nurse, I've seen firsthand how life can change in an instant. Those intense moments of crisis, split-second decisions, and the raw human emotions that come with them? They've shaped not just who I am, but every story I write. Trust me, some of the most incredible love stories I've witnessed happened in the most unexpected places – including those sterile hospital corridors.

When people ask me why I write Christian romantic suspense, I usually laugh and say, "Because regular life isn't exciting enough!" But the truth is, I'm drawn to stories that explore how faith, love, and courage intersect during life's most challenging moments. My characters aren't perfect – they struggle, they doubt, they make mistakes (sometimes big ones). But that's what makes them real, right?

In my latest book, "Jina," I took on the enemies-to-lovers trope with a twist that's uniquely mine. See, I believe that even when two people start as adversaries, God can work in mysterious ways to bring them together. (Though sometimes He has to be pretty creative about it!) The story follows a cold case murder investigation that brings together two people who'd rather be anywhere else but working together. Watching them navigate their growing feelings while dealing with their faith and a dangerous investigation was... well, let's just say I lost a lot of sleep writing their story!

My years in the ER taught me that life rarely follows a neat, tidy script. That's why I love weaving together complex plots where suspense and romance dance together, all while keeping things clean enough that you won't have to hide the book from your grandmother. (Though she might still stay up way too late reading it!)

When I'm not writing, you'll probably find me spending time with my family, working on my next plot twist, or possibly baking something chocolate-related. (Writing is hungry work, and I firmly believe chocolate is God's way of saying, "I love you, keep going!") I also love connecting with readers – your messages about how my stories have touched your lives or kept you up all night reading make all those challenging writing days worth it.

I write for readers who want their romantic suspense with: - Heart-pounding action (but not so scary you can't sleep) - Sweet, clean romance (that still makes your heart flutter) - Faith elements that feel natural, not preachy - Characters who feel like friends by the end - Endings that leave you smiling (after I put you through some nail-biting moments)

Here's what you won't find in my books: graphic violence, steamy scenes, or language that would make your pastor blush. What you will find are stories about real people facing real challenges, finding love, and discovering that faith can light the way through even the darkest moments.

I believe every story should leave readers with hope, because that's what I've seen time and time again – both in the ER and in life. God can bring beauty from ashes, love from conflict, and light into the darkest situations. And if my stories can remind just one person of that truth, then I've done my job.
