Let me back up a bit. I've always been fascinated by the complex world of law enforcement and the thin blue line between right and wrong. Growing up in a family of first responders probably had something to do with that. Dinner conversations at our house weren't exactly your typical "how was school today?" fare – more like detailed discussions of the latest drug bust or arson investigation. Those stories stuck with me, especially the moral gray areas that officers sometimes have to navigate.

When I started writing "In Too Deep," I knew I wanted to explore that dangerous territory where duty and desire collide. My DEA agent hero thinks he's got it all figured out – until he doesn't. (Don't they always think that?) I love throwing my characters into impossible situations where every choice comes with a price, and sometimes doing the right thing means breaking all the rules.

My writing style? Raw. Gritty. Real. I don't sugarcoat the darker aspects of law enforcement or the criminal underworld. My characters swear (a lot), they make mistakes, and sometimes they do terrible things for the right reasons. But I promise you'll understand why, even if you don't agree with their choices. That's what fascinates me – the psychology behind those split-second decisions that can change everything.

When I'm not torturing my characters (professionally, of course), I'm probably binge-watching true crime documentaries, much to my family's concern. Or I'm hanging out with my rescue dogs, who honestly couldn't care less about my dark imagination as long as the treats keep coming. They're my writing partners, though their plot suggestions usually involve more squirrels than drug cartels.
