Hey there, beautiful chaos makers! I'm Luna S Winterheart, and I write dark urban fantasy romance where science goes wonderfully wrong in all the right ways. (And yes, that's my real name - my parents were apparently preparing me for this career path from birth!)

I've always been that weird girl who spent more time dreaming up stories about genetically modified creatures than paying attention in biology class. Though ironically, all that daydreaming about DNA splicing and evolutionary theory actually came in handy later. Who knew? My background is actually in veterinary medicine, which explains why I can't write a romance without throwing in some scientific mayhem and at least one character who's part animal. Sorry not sorry!

My debut novel "Taming The Tiger Man" came from that dangerous place where my love of exotic animals, genetic engineering, and morally grey romance all crashed together. I mean, who doesn't want to read about a brilliant but slightly jaded veterinarian getting tangled up with a genetically engineered tiger shifter? (If you raised your hand, you're probably on the wrong website, just saying...)

I write the kind of stories that make your typical urban fantasy blush. My characters aren't just dealing with a sprinkle of magic or a dash of supernatural - they're wrestling with fundamental questions about humanity while trying not to get killed by secret organizations or fall in love with the very experiments they're supposed to be studying. It's complicated, messy, and exactly how I like it.

When I'm not writing about dangerous men with too much animal DNA and the women who absolutely should know better than to fall for them, I'm probably at my day job as a vet (yes, really!), binge-watching documentaries about genetic engineering (research, I swear), or trying to convince my cat she's not actually a tiger (unsuccessful so far).

Fair warning: my books aren't for everyone. If you're looking for sweet shifter romance where everyone behaves and follows the rules, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you want stories where science goes rogue, ethics get murky, and love blooms in the most dangerous places? Pull up a chair, gorgeous. You're my kind of reader.

I believe in pushing boundaries - both in science and in romance. My characters often walk that razor's edge between human and animal, between right and wrong, between love and obsession. They're complex, often broken, and sometimes dangerous. But isn't that where the best stories happen? In that shadowy space between what we are and what we could become?

"Taming The Tiger Man" is just the beginning. I've got a whole laboratory full of morally questionable experiments - I mean, story ideas - just waiting to be released into the wild. Expect more genetically engineered anti-heroes, more brilliant women who aren't afraid to play with fire, and definitely more scientific shenanigans that would make your ethics professor have a meltdown.

Your messages about staying up all night to finish "Tiger Man" or theorizing about the science behind my worldbuilding make my day. (Even the ones asking if tiger-human hybrids are actually possible - and no, I'm not answering that!)
