Hey there, beautiful chaos makers! I'm Lyric Hawkins, and I write steamy, dangerous romance that probably shouldn't turn you on as much as it does. (But we both know it will.)

Growing up in a small Midwest town where everyone knew your business, I escaped into books – the darker and steamier, the better. My mom caught me reading my first smutty romance when I was fourteen, hidden inside a math textbook. Instead of confiscating it, she just smiled and said, "At least you're reading." (Thanks, Mom, for not crushing my budding love of literary sin.)

I never thought I'd actually become an author. I spent years climbing the corporate ladder in Manhattan, wearing power suits and killer heels, surrounded by the exact kind of morally ambiguous men who now populate my books. Let's just say some of my "research" happened well before I ever put pen to paper. 😉

When I finally started writing, it was like unleashing a storm I'd been holding back my whole life. My characters aren't your typical romance novel leads – they're complicated, sometimes cruel, always magnetic. The men are unapologetically dominant, the women are fierce and flawed, and the chemistry between them could burn down Wall Street. (Which, honestly, might be an improvement.)

My debut novel, "Secrets & Seduction," is the first in my Wall Street Thug Chronicles series. It's a world of power players and predators, where desire and danger dance way too close together. Think "Billions" meets "Fifty Shades," but with more weapons and way better shoes. I write about the kind of love that's messy, possibly illegal, and definitely addictive.

Fair warning: my books aren't for everyone. If you're looking for sweet, safe romance where everyone plays by the rules... honey, you're in the wrong place. But if you like your heroes morally gray (or straight-up black), your heroines complex, and your steam level hot enough to fog up your kindle? Pull up a chair. We're going to be great friends.

When I'm not writing sinfully delicious scenes or plotting someone's fictional downfall, you can find me wandering Manhattan with an overpriced coffee, people-watching for character inspiration. Or maybe I'm at home with my rescue cat, Villain (yes, really), who judges my writing almost as much as my mother judges my dating choices.

I believe romance should be wild, raw, and real. My characters make terrible decisions for all the right reasons. They fall in love despite themselves. They break rules, hearts, and occasionally laws. But isn't that what makes a story worth reading? The mess, the madness, the moments where everything could fall apart – but somehow, love wins anyway.

To my readers: thank you for diving into these dangerous waters with me. Your messages about staying up until 3 AM to finish "just one more chapter" make my day. (Though maybe get some sleep? Actually, never mind. I do the same thing.)
