Hi there! I'm Mathias Lefort, and I write the kind of dark romance that makes your therapist raise an eyebrow. (Don't worry - mine does too.)

I stumbled into writing almost by accident. After years of devouring every dark romance I could get my hands on, I found myself dreaming up twisted tales of my own. The characters wouldn't leave me alone until I finally gave in and started putting their stories on paper. Turns out, the voices in my head had the right idea. Who knew?

My debut novel "Dollars, T3: Hundreds" took everything I loved about the genre and cranked it up to eleven. The response from readers absolutely floored me. When reviewers started comparing it to Pepper Winters (one of my all-time favorite authors), I had to pinch myself. Multiple times. Still not entirely convinced I'm not dreaming.

Here's the thing about my books - they're not for everyone, and I'm completely okay with that. I write raw, gritty stories that explore the shadowy corners of human nature. My characters are broken, dangerous people who probably need serious therapy instead of a relationship. But love finds them anyway, usually in the most twisted circumstances possible. Fair warning: there will be trauma. There will be triggers. There will definitely be moments that make you want to throw your e-reader across the room. (Please don't. Those things are expensive.)

When I'm not torturing my characters (and by extension, my readers), you can usually find me mainlining coffee and obsessing over plot twists. I live in France with an ever-growing collection of books that's slowly taking over my apartment. My TBR pile has achieved sentience and is plotting world domination. Send help.

To my fellow dark romance lovers - you know who you are, you beautiful twisted souls - I promise to keep delivering stories that push boundaries and make you question your own moral compass. The darker the story, the sweeter the redemption, right? Though sometimes, redemption isn't in the cards at all...

What can you expect from my books? Morally grey (okay, mostly black) characters, intense psychological drama, and romance that burns so hot it leaves scorch marks on your soul. There will be moments that make you uncomfortable. Good. That's where the most interesting stories live.

I believe the best dark romance doesn't just shock - it makes you think. It makes you feel. It makes you question everything you thought you knew about love, redemption, and human nature. That's what I aim for with every book I write.

Currently working on my next book, which promises to be even darker and more twisted than the last. My characters are already complaining about what I'm putting them through. Good thing they can't actually reach through the pages and strangle me. Yet.
