Hey there! I'm Megan McSpadden, and I write sweet-with-heat contemporary romance that'll make you swoon, smile, and maybe snort-laugh into your coffee. (Fair warning: don't drink while reading my funny scenes. I won't be responsible for damaged electronics!)

Growing up in small-town America, I was that kid who always had her nose stuck in a book—usually something wildly inappropriate for my age that I'd snuck from my mom's romance collection. Sorry, Mom! But those stolen reading moments planted the seeds for what would become my writing career. Though if you'd told teenage-me that I'd one day be publishing my own romance novels, I probably would've died of embarrassment right there in my Lisa Frank-covered bedroom.

After spending years working in education (where I collected enough hilarious and heartwarming stories to fill a dozen books), I finally decided to pursue my secret dream of writing romance. The result? My debut novel "The ABCs of You & Me," which combines my two greatest loves: education and romance. Because let's be honest—who doesn't love a story where finding love is literally as easy as ABC?

My characters tend to be realistic people you might actually know—the kind who sometimes say the wrong thing, trip over their own feet, and definitely don't have their lives perfectly figured out. Sophie, my heroine in "The ABCs of You & Me," is basically what happens when you take a recovering people-pleaser, add a dash of determination, and throw her into a new job where she has to learn to stand up for herself (while possibly falling for someone completely unexpected... because of course!).

When I'm not writing, you can usually find me: - Binge-watching cheesy romantic comedies for "research" (at least that's what I tell my husband) - Attempting to keep my houseplants alive (current success rate: 60%) - Collecting cute office supplies I definitely don't need - Drinking way too much coffee while plotting my next book

I believe romance novels should be like a warm hug for your soul—comforting and familiar, but with enough surprises to keep you turning pages well past your bedtime. My stories celebrate second chances, finding your voice, and the kind of love that makes you a better version of yourself.

Fun fact: I write most of my books while surrounded by an embarrassing number of Post-it notes and at least three different beverages (usually coffee, water, and something bubbly). My writing playlist is an eclectic mix that would probably make any DJ cry, but hey, whatever works!
