Hey there, dark souls! I'm Myka Bound, and I write paranormal romance that'll make you question your moral compass (and probably your sanity). Fair warning: if you're looking for sweet, tender love stories where everyone follows the rules... you might want to run far, far away from my books.

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I was that weird kid who preferred thunderstorms to sunshine and spent way too much time making up stories about the monsters living in our creepy old Victorian house. Turns out, those childhood fantasies were just practice for what I'd end up doing with my life. (Though my mom probably hoped I'd "grow out of it" and become an accountant or something sensible. Sorry, Mom!)

I spent years working as a bartender in Seattle, which taught me more about human nature than any writing course ever could. There's something about watching people at 2 AM that really shows you who they are beneath their carefully constructed masks. Those late-night observations definitely feed into my characters – the good, the bad, and the deliciously wicked.

My debut novel "Cast in Shadow" combines everything I love: ancient demons who definitely shouldn't be attractive (but absolutely are), witches who've got more power than they bargained for, and the kind of second-chance romance that leaves scorch marks on your soul. It's the story I always wanted to read but could never find on the shelves.

When I write, I dive deep into the grey areas between good and evil. My characters don't fit into neat little boxes – they're messy, complicated, and sometimes make terrible decisions for all the right reasons (or right decisions for all the wrong reasons). I believe the best love stories are the ones that make you uncomfortable, that challenge what you think you know about right and wrong.

I write for readers who aren't afraid of the dark. For those who understand that sometimes the scariest monsters are the ones we invite into our beds. For anyone who's ever been drawn to something they shouldn't want but can't resist. My books come with trigger warnings because I don't believe in sugarcoating the shadows – they're dark, they're intense, and they're definitely not for everyone.

When I'm not writing, you'll find me wandering through old cemeteries (for research, I swear), collecting vintage tarot cards (I have way too many decks), or curled up with my black cat, Lucifer. Yes, I really named him that. No, I'm not sorry.

My writing schedule is basically vampire hours – I do my best work between midnight and dawn, fueled by way too much coffee and the kind of playlist that would make most people question my mental state. But hey, you can't write about demons and dark magic while listening to pop music, right?

To my readers: thank you for joining me in these shadows. Your messages about staying up all night to finish "Cast in Shadow" make all those 3 AM writing sessions worth it. (Though I do feel slightly guilty about your dark circles... maybe.) I promise there's so much more darkness coming your way.

What can you expect from my books? Raw emotions that'll leave you breathless. Spicy scenes that'll make you blush (and maybe fan yourself). Characters who'll haunt you long after you turn the last page. And love stories that prove sometimes the most beautiful things grow in the darkest places.

Fair warning: I don't do neat, tidy endings where everything works out perfectly. Life's messy, love's messier, and when you're dealing with ancient demons and powerful witches, happy ever after comes with a price. But I promise the journey will be worth every deliciously dark moment.
