Hey there! I'm Nadia Han, and I write dark romance that'll probably make your mom clutch her pearls and your book club friends raise their eyebrows. (Don't worry – those are exactly the reactions I'm going for.)

Would you believe I used to be a corporate consultant who spent her days making PowerPoint presentations and trying not to fall asleep in meetings? Yeah, neither can I sometimes. But during those long nights at the office, I'd escape into romance novels, particularly the ones that walked that delicious line between love and darkness. The ones that made you question your own moral compass while simultaneously reaching for a fan.

One day, while stuck in yet another endless meeting, I started writing my own story in the margins of my notebook. It featured a morally gray hero who wouldn't leave my head, and before I knew it, I had written three chapters. That character would eventually become Attikus Mount in "The Maverick," though he went through about seventeen different iterations before becoming the deliciously complex museum owner you'll meet in the book.

Look, I'll be straight with you – I don't write sweet, cookie-cutter romance. My stories live in those shadowy spaces where love meets vengeance, where passion tangles with power, and where redemption comes at a price that'll make you question everything you thought you knew about right and wrong. If you're looking for a clean-cut hero who always does the right thing... well, you might want to keep scrolling. (Though I'd love to convince you to stay – the dark side has much better snacks.)

"The Maverick" is my debut novel, and it's basically my heart wrapped in barbed wire and dipped in honey. Attikus Mount isn't your typical romance hero – he's calculating, ruthless, and absolutely consumed by vengeance. But when he meets his match? That's where the real fun begins. I wanted to write a story that explores what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, and then throws them both into a pressure cooker of attraction, danger, and unresolved trauma. You know, just a light Tuesday read. 😉

When I'm not writing characters who probably need therapy (don't we all?), you can find me binge-watching true crime documentaries, attempting to keep my houseplants alive (RIP, Fernando the Ficus), and collecting vintage art books. I live in Seattle with my rescue cat, Villain (yes, really – she earned that name), and an ever-growing collection of coffee mugs that's starting to worry my friends.

My writing process is... chaotic, to put it mildly. I plot extensively using color-coded sticky notes that make my office look like a serial killer's workshop, but then my characters usually throw those plans out the window by chapter three. I've learned to roll with it. Some of my best scenes have come from those 3 AM moments when I bolt upright with an idea that won't let me sleep.

What can you expect from my books? Intense, complex characters who'll get under your skin and stay there. Plots that'll keep you guessing. Steam that'll fog up your e-reader. And above all, dark love stories that prove even the most damaged hearts can find their match – though probably not in the way you'd expect.
