Hey there! I'm Nika, and I write dark fantasy romance where dragons aren't just legends – they're dangerous, seductive beings who'll turn your world upside down. (And yes, I may have a slight obsession with scaled creatures who can breathe fire. Don't judge.)

Growing up in Germany, I always had my nose buried in fantasy books, dreaming up stories about magical creatures and forbidden love. But like many writers, I took the "responsible" route first – studying geology and working in the field. Turns out, all those hours analyzing rock formations and mineral compositions weren't wasted! They helped me build the rich, scientifically-grounded magical world of the Ashitara Chronicles.

I love blending the raw, primal energy of dark romance with intricate fantasy worldbuilding. There's something deliciously compelling about a heroine who understands the molecular structure of crystals trying to navigate an attraction to a being who defies everything she thought she knew about natural law. (Science meets magic, anyone?)

My debut novel "Herzmörder" introduces you to Vanjura, a magical geologist who discovers that sometimes the most dangerous legends are the ones that turn out to be true. I poured my heart into creating a world where magic has scientific principles, where ancient creatures lurk in modern shadows, and where love can be as destructive as it is healing. Fair warning: I don't write sweet, tame romances. My stories have teeth – sometimes literally.

When I'm not writing about dangerous creatures and the women who love them, you'll find me hiking through the German wilderness, collecting interesting rocks (old habits die hard), or plotting my next story with a cup of strong coffee and my loyal cat judging my life choices from across the room. I'm also slightly addicted to dark chocolate and have been known to bribe my characters with it when they're being particularly difficult. (It doesn't work, but I keep trying.)

My writing style? Think atmospheric worldbuilding meets steamy tension meets "oh-gods-what-did-I-just-read" moments. I believe in creating strong heroines who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty (sometimes with actual dirt – geology perk!), and heroes who are definitely not safe, but absolutely worth the risk. If you enjoy your romance with a heavy dose of danger, magic that follows its own dark logic, and characters who walk the line between light and shadow, you're in the right place.

The Ashitara Chronicles is just the beginning. I've got more stories brewing, more dangerous creatures waiting in the wings, and more complex magical systems to explore. Each book will push boundaries, challenge expectations, and hopefully keep you up way too late turning pages. (Sorry not sorry about those dark circles under your eyes.)
