Hey there! *waves awkwardly while trying not to spill coffee on my keyboard* I'm Piper Easton, and I write dark fantasy romance that probably shouldn't be read in public unless you're really good at controlling your facial expressions. (Trust me, some scenes might make you blush... or gasp... or both.)

Writing has been my escape since I was that weird kid in the back of English class, scribbling stories about forbidden magic and dangerous love instead of paying attention to Shakespeare. (Sorry, Mrs. Peterson!) But it wasn't until I found myself stuck in a soul-crushing corporate job that I finally decided to pursue my real passion – creating worlds where magic comes with a price, and love isn't always sweet and gentle.

I'm the author of the Shadow King Trilogy, where gods aren't exactly the benevolent beings from your Sunday school lessons, and the line between hero and villain is about as clear as mud. My latest release, "Legacy of Gods and Ruin," is the kind of story that kept me up at night writing – and not just because of my unhealthy caffeine addiction. It's dark, it's messy, and it definitely isn't for readers who want their romance wrapped up in a pretty bow.

When I'm not torturing my characters (lovingly, I swear!), you can find me wandering through ancient bookstores, collecting obscure mythology books, or trying to convince my rescue cat that my keyboard isn't his personal throne. He disagrees. Violently.

My writing style? Think Sarah J. Maas meets Scarlett St. Clair, but with more morally grey characters and definitely more spice. I believe in creating complex worlds where magic has consequences, love tests boundaries, and happy endings are earned through blood, sweat, and probably a few questionable choices along the way.

Fair warning: my books aren't for everyone. If you're looking for sweet, clean romance, you might want to slowly back away now. I write about powerful beings who blur the lines between good and evil, relationships that challenge societal norms, and magic systems that might make you question everything you thought you knew about power and sacrifice. Also, there's steam. Like, fog-up-your-e-reader levels of steam.

The Shadow King Trilogy is my heart and soul poured onto paper (with maybe a little blood mixed in). It's the kind of story I always wanted to read but could never find – where the romance is as dark as the magic, and the stakes are higher than just "will they or won't they?" (Though trust me, that question will definitely keep you up at night too.)

When I'm not writing, I'm probably on Instagram or TikTok, sharing behind-the-scenes peeks at my writing process, book aesthetics that inspire me, or videos of my cat judging my life choices. I love connecting with readers who share my passion for dark fantasy romance and aren't afraid to walk on the wilder side of storytelling.

Fun fact: I write most of my spiciest scenes while drinking chamomile tea and wearing fuzzy unicorn socks. The contrast helps with the creative process. Don't judge me.

For new readers: expect complex world-building, morally ambiguous characters who'll make you question your own ethics, steamy scenes that'll make you fan yourself, and plot twists that'll probably make you want to throw your e-reader (please don't – those things are expensive).
