Hey there, dark souls! I'm Precious Anusiem, and I write the kind of paranormal romance that makes your heart race while your moral compass spins in circles. (Don't worry, we're all a little twisted here.)

Growing up in a Nigerian-American household, I was raised on a rich tapestry of folklore that would make your typical ghost story look like a bedtime lullaby. My grandmother used to tell me tales of ancient spirits and cosmic battles that would keep me awake at night – and now I get to keep YOU awake with my own dark little creations. Funny how life works, right?

I started writing seriously after getting my degree in Comparative Mythology (yes, that's a real thing, and yes, my parents were thrilled about their daughter choosing such a "practical" major). But here's the thing: those ancient myths? They're basically the original dark romance stories. Gods falling for mortals, cursed lovers, forbidden magic – it's all there. I just add more kissing. And maybe a few more morally questionable choices.

My books live in that delicious shadow realm between paranormal romance and dark fantasy, where the line between salvation and damnation is about as thin as your last thread of self-control. I write about witches who could burn the world down but choose to save it instead, immortals who've forgotten how to feel until that ONE person crashes into their life, and cursed beings who really should know better than to fall in love (but thank goodness they don't listen).

Take my latest series, starting with "Eclipse of the Heart" – it's what happens when you mix an ancient curse, eternal twilight, and a love that could literally end the world. (Because go big or go home, right?) Then there's "Veins of the Night," where my heroine discovers she's basically a human glow stick with apocalyptic implications. Not your typical meet-cute situation.

"The Arcane Paradox" and "The Deadly Covenant" round out my current collection, each featuring characters who probably shouldn't fall in love but do anyway, because apparently I love torturing both them and my readers. (It's a love language, I swear!)

When I'm not writing about cosmic curses and forbidden love, you can find me collecting crystals I definitely don't need more of, attempting to perfect my jollof rice recipe (my mom says I'm getting closer!), or hanging out with my rescue cat, Shadow (yes, I'm that kind of witch). I also spend way too much time on Instagram sharing book aesthetics and random mythology facts that somehow end up in my stories.

I believe the best love stories are the ones that make you question everything – your morals, your limits, maybe even your sanity a little bit. My characters don't just walk the line between light and dark; they tango across it, probably while the world burns around them.
