Hey there, dark romance lovers! I'm Rachel Angel, and I write the kind of stories that make your mama clutch her pearls while you stay up until 3 AM, telling yourself "just one more chapter." (We both know that's a lie, but I won't tell if you won't.)

Growing up in a small town where everyone knew everyone's business, I escaped into books that took me far beyond those narrow streets. I was that weird kid writing elaborate stories about faeries and monsters in my notebooks instead of paying attention in math class. Sorry, Mrs. Peterson – but hey, it worked out in the end!

My journey into publishing wasn't exactly a straight line. I bounced between corporate jobs that slowly drained my soul until one day, sitting in yet another mind-numbing meeting, I started writing what would become "Baby Girl" on my phone under the table. That story poured out of me like I'd opened a floodgate, and I knew I'd finally found what I was meant to do.

I specialize in dark romance that walks the line between beauty and brutality. My stories aren't for the faint of heart – they're for readers who like their happily-ever-afters earned through blood, tears, and maybe a little revenge. Whether I'm writing about the twisted halls of Fallen Fae Academy or the dangerous streets of Heartbreak Falls, I love exploring the grey areas between good and evil. (Usually while drinking way too much coffee and stress-eating chocolate.)

The Heartbreak Falls series holds a special place in my heart because it lets me play with all my favorite tropes: bully romance, reverse harem, and enough family drama to fill a soap opera. And don't even get me started on my Kingmaker series – those books are my love letter to every paranormal romance reader who's ever wanted more edge to their fantasy.

When I'm not torturing my characters (lovingly, I swear), I'm probably binge-watching true crime documentaries for "research" or trying to convince my cat she's not actually in charge of my writing schedule. (Spoiler alert: She totally is.) I work from a home office that looks like a Hot Topic exploded in a library, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

My writing process is chaos wrapped in method. I plot just enough to know where I'm going, then let my characters take the wheel – which usually ends up with them doing exactly what they weren't supposed to do. But that's where the magic happens, right? In those moments when the story surprises even me.

To my readers: expect the unexpected. My books will push boundaries and comfort zones, but I promise to always handle sensitive topics with care. You'll find strong heroines who don't need saving (but might save themselves AND their love interests), morally grey characters who'll make you question everything you thought you knew about right and wrong, and steam levels that'll make you want to read with the fan on.

The best part of this whole journey has been connecting with my readers. Your messages about staying up all night to finish one of my books, or how a particular character spoke to you, make all the late nights and caffeine overdoses worth it. I'm active in my Facebook reader group, "Rachel's Dark Angels," where we chat about everything from book boyfriends to what wine pairs best with which chapter. (For "Deadly Doll," it's definitely something red and bold – like the story itself.)

I believe romance should be as complex and messy as real life, just with better dialogue and hotter love interests. My characters might start out as victims, but they never stay that way. They fight, they grow, and sometimes they become the very monsters they were running from – and I'm here for all of it.
