Hey there, dark souls! I'm Remi Valyn, and I write the kind of fantasy romance that would make your grandmother clutch her pearls and your best friend beg for more. (Let's be honest, we all need that friend who enables our book addictions.)

I've always been the weird kid who spent more time daydreaming about magic and monsters than paying attention in math class. Growing up, I filled notebooks with stories about powerful heroines who didn't just sit around waiting to be saved – they were too busy saving themselves and collecting gorgeous, morally ambiguous men along the way. Turns out, those daydreams were just practice for what I do now.

When I'm not writing steamy scenes that make my laptop blush, I'm probably cuddling with my rescue cat Luna (yes, I'm that kind of witch), drinking way too much coffee, or plotting new ways to torture – I mean, challenge – my characters. My husband has learned to recognize my "I just killed off someone's favorite character" face and knows to come bearing chocolate.

My debut novel, "The Syndicate's Shadow Heiress," kicked off the Branche de Lune Syndicate series, and holy hell, what a ride it's been! Kali's story poured out of me like dark magic, mixing everything I love – found family with sharp edges, forbidden romance that burns hot enough to scorch, and women discovering their power isn't something to fear but to embrace. And yes, there are multiple love interests because why settle for one morally grey hottie when you can have several? (I don't make the rules, I just write them.)

Fair warning: my books aren't for the faint of heart. I write about the shadows where monsters lurk, the grey areas between good and evil, and the kind of love that's as dangerous as it is addictive. There's violence, steam that'll fog up your e-reader, and themes that might make you uncomfortable – but I promise to always include content warnings because I care about my readers' boundaries.

Speaking of readers – you all are my favorite people! Nothing makes me happier than connecting with fellow dark romance lovers who understand why we sometimes root for the villain. You'll often find me on Instagram or TikTok, sharing snippets of works in progress or fangirling over other authors' books. (My TBR pile is a legitimate safety hazard at this point.)

When I'm not writing, I'm probably exploring old bookstores, practicing witchy things that would make my characters proud, or binge-watching fantasy shows for "research." Yes, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
