Rosalyn Stirling

Dark Romance Author

Hey there, dark romance lovers! I'm Rosalyn Stirling, and I write steamy paranormal romance where forbidden love meets ancient magic. (And yes, there's usually someone getting bitten, cursed, or both.)

I grew up devouring Anne Rice novels under my covers with a flashlight, dreaming up stories about vampires who were definitely more seductive than scary. My mom probably should've been more concerned about my obsession with creatures of the night, but instead she kept feeding my addiction with more fantasy books. Thanks, Mom!

After spending way too many years trying to write "serious" literary fiction (spoiler alert: I was terrible at it), I finally embraced my true calling - writing deliciously dark paranormal romance where the monsters get their happily ever afters. Because let's be honest, sometimes the scariest creatures make the best lovers.

My stories live in that shadowy space between light and dark, where ancient magic tangles with modern desires. I'm fascinated by the idea of forbidden love between supernatural beings, especially when there's a whole lot of sexual tension and dangerous consequences involved. My enchantresses and demons definitely shouldn't fall in love... but they do anyway. And my vampires? Well, they bite. In all the best ways.

If you've read "Kissed by a Demon" or "Auctioned to the Vampire," you know I don't shy away from the spicy scenes. (My grandmother has been strictly forbidden from reading my books, though she keeps trying.) I love exploring power dynamics and consent through a supernatural lens - there's something incredibly sexy about a powerful being who could take whatever they want, but chooses to wait for freely given permission.

My latest series dives deep into the world of enchantresses and demons, starting with "Devoured by Shadows." It's probably my darkest work yet, exploring what happens when duty and desire collide. Fair warning: there's blood magic, forbidden rituals, and enough sexual tension to power a small city.

When I'm not writing about supernatural seduction, you can find me wandering through old cemeteries for "research" (my husband has learned to stop asking questions), collecting vintage tarot cards, and spoiling my three black cats rotten. Yes, I'm a walking supernatural romance clichΓ© and I'm totally okay with that.

I write every day in my home office, which is basically a cave of crystals, candles, and coffee mugs at this point. My writing playlist is an unholy mix of gothic metal and Taylor Swift, because that's just how I roll. Sometimes my cats "help" by walking across my keyboard, which has resulted in some interesting plot twists.

To my readers: thank you for joining me in these dark and steamy adventures. Your messages about staying up all night to finish my books make my day (even if you curse me for the lack of sleep). I promise to keep delivering stories that blur the lines between monster and lover, with plenty of steam and supernatural shenanigans along the way.

Fair warning though - my books aren't for the faint of heart. If you're looking for sweet paranormal romance where vampires sparkle and demons are misunderstood softies, you might want to look elsewhere. My supernatural creatures are dangerous, possessive, and unapologetically dark. But if you like your romance with sharp teeth and darker desires? Pull up a chair, grab something strong to drink, and let's explore the shadows together.

You can find me on Instagram posting aesthetic shots of my book babies (and actual cats), or in my Facebook reader group "Stirling's Shadow Seekers" where we chat about all things paranormal romance. Come say hi - I love connecting with fellow dark romance addicts!

Remember: Life's too short for vanilla paranormal romance. Let's make it supernatural and spicy instead! πŸ–€βœ¨
