I'm Rowyn Adelaide, and I write dark fantasy romance that probably shouldn't be read in public unless you're really good at hiding your reactions. (Trust me, some scenes will definitely make you gasp out loud. I've gotten the messages to prove it.)

Writing has been my escape for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I filled countless notebooks with stories about magical worlds and forbidden love—usually featuring a hopelessly romantic heroine who definitely wasn't based on me. (Okay, maybe a little.) But it wasn't until I found myself stuck at home during that infamous 2020 lockdown that I finally decided to turn my secret writing obsession into something real.

Here's the thing: I've always been drawn to stories that live in the shadows between light and dark. You know those moments when you're not sure if you should be rooting for or running from the love interest? That delicious tension when danger and desire blur together? That's my sweet spot. I write the kind of romance that makes you question your own moral compass while simultaneously fanning yourself with your Kindle.

My debut novel, "Of Blooming Embers" (coming in 2025), is basically what happens when you take untamed magic, lost memories, and a romance that burns hot enough to scorch the pages, then throw them all into a world that's slowly unraveling at the seams. When I'm not writing (or procrastinating on writing by scrolling through BookTok), you can usually find me in my home office, surrounded by approximately seventeen empty tea mugs and an ever-growing collection of fantasy-inspired candles. My cat, Pixel, serves as my unofficial writing assistant, though her main contribution is walking across my keyboard at crucial moments and accidentally deleting entire chapters. (No, I'm not still bitter about that one time... okay, maybe a little.)

I believe the best stories are the ones that grab you by the throat and don't let go until the very last page. My characters aren't perfect—they're messy, complicated, and sometimes make terrible decisions. But isn't that what makes them real?
